Hey, that pullstart isn't too bad! it's a lot less hassle than the electric start. Starting the first time was tough, since i hadn't had it running in almost a month, but once i had fresh fuel through the motor, and all the aro was puked out, it still ran great.

One thing though, the idle tends to hang once it warms up. i've tried all i know to alleviate this, but i can't seem to figure it out. I'm thinking i may have an air leak somewhere in the engine. I've checked all the lines, and they're fine. i sealed the primer with silicone, but i haven't sealed anything else yet, like the backplate or carb. (guess i could've done the backplate when i had it off lol), but I'm not sure what to use as a sealer - silicone, RTV silicone, Sensor-safe RTV Silicone? I've got all of 'em, so I don't know which one to use.

This is what most people use and you should be able to get it at any auto parts store.

Been using pull starters for years. If you know what you are doing and no how to tune they are not all that bad. I do have a new Hyper 8 that I will be using a starter box on.

I think a starter box would be the only other thing i would use. Yesterday I had the truck out again, and i took it a little farther from the house because all i had to carry was my fuel bottle, igniter, and flathead screwdriver. No more heavy, awkward starter to carry around and worry about the battery dying. Here's a couple pics of the aftermath - motor was still hot in these pics!

Expect Rush parts to get harder and harder to get. I might sell mine and all the extra parts I got but I am going to wait till there are not any more new parts around if I sell. The key word being IF.

Most of the time when a RC vehicle is discontinued it does not take long for spares to get hard to find so I recommend if you are going to run it on a regular basis to get all the spare you can. I do not run mine a lot but have quite a few spares so I am OK.

i dont know it depends on how many they sold over the course of 5 years (im includeing the NITRO RUSH AND EVO) for example i have and old RS4 2 its a belt drive car and its bein disconnuned since 2003 so its goin on 3 years that they havent made it........ yet u can gets parts for it almost anywhere all my LHS still carry the belts, arms, tensiors stuff like that .........hop up are a lil harder to find but basic parts to keep the car running are still goin who know HPI is a very repetable company for all we know they might stay selling spare parts for it FOR YEARS (ofcourse depending on how many they sold and how much demand there is)

I have a Savage as well as quite a few other RC vehicles and the Savage is so popular I do not think it will be discontinued any time soon. The reason the Rush was discontinued is because there where not enough people buying them which is not the case with the Savage. Go to ebay and see how many pages of parts there is for the Rush then the Savage this will give you an idea.

If I was going to get a new Savage the only one I would get would be the X SS!

I thought some have all ready said they are having problems getting some parts for the Rush on this thread? Bottom line it is going to boil down to supply and demand and being the Rush was discontinued do to not enough sales not because of coming out with a new model I do believe you will see parts hard to get sooner then some other models.
