Default RE: Official XTM X-Cellerator thread!!

Does anyone race there xtm's how do they do against associated and losi?
Reguardless how many blow hards out there think there ST is better than the XTM X-cellerator there wrong. Every RTR out there needs work to become a racer or compete at a higher skill level. The Hipe for the bigger name brands is all they have to put the X-c behind them, when in reality the XTM products are every bit as good. XTM probably makes more profit in a small market with lower prices and no major race team than Losi or Associated with the millions of dollars they spend on marketing and racing. I can set up an X-c that could compete and win if I had skills like Adam Drake ( actually if I just had his young eyes [&:] ) and some of the others. XTM is doing what they think is right for there share of the market and I don't care which model you buy if you turn them all upside down they all look pretty much the same [:-] only some cost a lot more because someone has to pay for the Marketing and race team [X(] The ST rage ended a few years ago and I hope it comes back because I love to race them and watch them. There is a lot of junk out there but even the junk can be made to compete but XTM products are far from junk

im glad somebody thinkd likr i do. must of this other brand names are just that name.; my experience with my x-cellerator
has being great, here i Puerto Rico if you dont have a brand name ST or Car they just ignore your capacitities and abilities is sorry
to said but a true reality. the clubs here are only for a few. there's no public tracks where you can go and have fun because that's
all about. all this BS is whats going on here in the island. XTM products are the same or better quality than those other brand names.

Default RE: Official XTM X-Cellerator thread!!

alright here is what i have so far... its not 100% completed

lot of stuff wasnt working out:

losi graphite rear arms (fitting pretty good with little mods but in the end the xtm ones are the better fitting ones for fully suspension on the rear)
associated outdrives (f'ed them up with the xtm parts)
rpm diffgear (needs other drive balls)
duratrax graphite front arms (they put in two left ones... so i couldnt really test it)
duratrax graphite front hubs(dont know the right name for the front ones ), maybe ill install them later... the stock ones are doing good so far

i installed:

all the aluminium xtm parts
associated + losi ballcups (traxxas ones for the rear so things cant pop off)
engine and exhaust (still needs the gearing)
losirims and proline badlands

hope yall like it and maybe some of you could help me putting my os18tz together

no way i would give on this... but i had alot to do with my study and work on the other hand.
well actually there is no problem with the 18tz... i tried everything but i still have to mod the flywheelpins so the mip clutch can fit.
the only thing left to do is to setup the throttle/brake servo.

i will post some pics next week as soon as im finished

anyone of you want an X-cellerator parts truck for like $40? I never ran it and it has pretty much everything except the shocks and body and no electronics.

so i was just curious if a 1/8th pipe will have any change on the performance of the stock engine? granted the stock pipe is ...ok...it is too high pitch, i like the lower scream of the 1/8th's but dont really have 700+ dollars to drop on one right now. heard of someone tryin this but wasn't sure if i should waste my money tryin it on mine.

thanks

Not enough back presure in the 1/8 pipe to supply the fuel tank with a small block and a small block will never have that nice low pitch that the big blocks do. [&o]
