You can try using losi xxx-nt aluminum rear a-arms. They're a lot cheaper. That's what I did. It's kind of a pain though because you have to make a bigger notch in the right arm for the spur gear and it's slightly longer than the stock arms, so you might have to take out some spacers.

Ya it works, but not as well as the stock plastic ones in my opinion, & its a lotta trouble. Maybe if you don't use the losi xxx-nt aluminum rear hubs and just use the xtm stock ones, it'd be easier, but I don't know. I used the losi xxx-nt aluminum rear hubs and I had a lotta trouble trying to get the rear wheels to spin right. It's your decision, but stock plastic drives better and faster in my opinion. Even if you bought the xtm aluminum parts, the other parts not aluminum can still break like the rear a-arm mount.

ya, no prob, I have xxx-nt aluminum rear hubs and arms. I have a 2.4 ghz mx-3 radio, hitec 625-mg servo, and a hitec throttle servo. My old original servos all failed, so I'd replace them if I were you. I got the stuff off eBay.

I've heard almost anything from the losi xxx-nt fits our trucks but haven't really tried any parts myself. may give that a shot.

Thanks. I bought the triton body for the xxx- nt but it didnt fit. any suggestions...I'm not trying to be sarcastic but i can't return it. I like the xxx-nt bodies better. does any one have any experience with different bodies that fit the x-cellerator?

you could have just tightened the slipper... and the slipper is there to give you better traction and protect the tranny, drilling a hole trough it renders it useless

You may not be having problems now, but just be aware you might in the future as the trans wasn't necessarily designed to take that added stress.

Ok, 2 things, first the glow plug has to kind of warn up a bit I think before it will work properly and and this may depend on what plug your using. When cold I keep my glow plug starter battery hooked up for a minute after the truck is started until it warms up a bit. There is a video on Youtube the explains proper starting procedure for starting you truck so I suggest you follow that as it helped me and now I start my truck with ease.
As far as the idle adjust is concerned the owners manual for the truck states: The low speed needle valve is preset from the factory but minor adjustments may be needed to suit your application. Fuel used, glow plug and environment all contribute to the setting. To reset the low speed needle valve to the factory setting open the carburetor barrel completely and while holding the barrel open with your figure use a flat blade screwdriver to turn the idle mixture needle clockwise until it stops. From this point, turn the needle counterclockwise 5 turns. This is the factory default.
The idle needle adjust is the screw in the center of the throttle lever on the carburetor. You may also need to adjust the idle rpm screw which is a little screw located right next to the throttle lever.
I highly recommend you check out the Youtube vid on starting an x-cellerator if you haven't already.
