Hey guys, what would be the best way to make sure your car is " broken in right " after you finish the process? Also what do you think about using 33% nitro content on the nitro evader st's stock engine?

33% sounds a bit on the high side i probably wouldnt run over 25% cause that is what i am running and i switched to 30% and did not really see a increase in performance but that might just be me lol.

Here you go led1977......
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSP08
Some have said that this set requires more rpm from a dead stop based on the stiffer spring.....I have not tried it.

What should I use for a replacment since the T-maxx spring is stiff? Also when do I know when the clutch bell has the " groove " in it?

Most likely you'll know that the CB has a groove in it when your spring breaks.
I found the time to take my truck out to the track yesterday, and I had alot of fun. A bunch of kids were there and they couldn't help but to be in AWE of the nitro trucks and buggies. We didn't really race because not enough people showed up to hold a main in any class so it was a free day for me. On the back strait, I could keep up and even pull on the 2 1/8th scale buggies that were there. One of the drivers noted to me "man, that thing has alot of top end." I did get to run against a Jato and I could hold my own. Great day, I didn't break anything but I think I need to replace the ball cup joints on the tie rods, they're begining to come loose. Wish I had a camera to take some pics but I don't.
Speaking of pic, if anyone has some good action shots (espessialy of on track racing), lets see em.

I found an idea for cv pins on tower hobbies. get these http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXN174&P=7 and cut off a piece and stick it through the cv joint, make sure you have excess wire sticking out on each side, then bend the excess wire torward each other. I think this should work and if I lose a cv pin it is probably what I will do.
I'm now not sure if this will work, I will check and see in the morning.

o and 1 more point (sory for 2 posts) in the newest Xtream rc mag i read a very cool how-To. it was on beefing up your truck and i found some prety cool tricks that got me thinking.. one tip (used on smaller touring cars) was to use 2 rear shock towers back to back.. and i kinda started thinking maby u could do that on the evader? if u took the 2nd one and grinned the body mounts off the 2nd one and got a longer screw(so it can pass through both) for the shocks then reinforce those squares in the center and just zip tie them together, then take the stock screw and put it through a empty mounting spot and put the nut on with a washer to reinforce and help lock it up? its just a idea so dont flame me but i think maby haveing 2 shock towers would beef up the evader in tumbles and cartwheels. also i dont run with the battery box any more i just zip tied it to the front of the car right behind the front shock tower. but its just a idea maby who knows i will try it when i have a spair shock tower or some one on here that has a spair one to give it a try and see if maby it helps some?
(also there was many other tricks like beef up your ball cups and makeing/replaceing braces with aluminum . and useing washers when ever convient to help spread out the surface presure so u get less breaking. many you have herd on this forum)
hope this was to some help for you guys

Most people who don't have an evader wont even visit this thread. So to answer your question, yes I have an Evader. And I've got enough mods on my truck that I don't really wanna make the list for. I'll post a pic. Things you can't see: high torque MG stearing servo, 5-cell NiMH pack, working on new clutch mod. Right now I'm running step-pins in the rear, the holeshots just didn't grab enough on the track I race at.

just try it. it will work but it will make your engine not last as long. youll be fine. as for upgrades just replace what breaks then go from there.

I know I can use it, but I mean with 33% nitro fuel that is a lot and i read that you should re-tune the engine because it will need a higher mixture and also that you will need to add another shim on the head, is this true?

Hay guys I'm about to put My Evader on eBay. But I'm not sure how much it's worth.....
I'm selling it RTR, just add batteries.
Also I'm selling it with a Q-world starterbox ($160au)
It has a OS.12CV-R, which still has a little bit of life, but has low conprestion.
Jaguar radio.
Some nice road wheels.
And some paddle tyers and standard frunt tyers.
Thanks

if you do leave us you should part out your car. if you repair the engine up your could get more money out of that, then you sell shock towers together then all 4 a arms chassis and so on.

I could buy 20%, which I have but I want to know if I do use 33% what will happen. For example, will the power increase or will the engine get damaged quickly.

The stock engine will not handle the 33% it is just built to crappy. If you have a good engine though as a general rule of thumb 30% makes more power, runs cooler, and wears out the engine faster.

if you use higher nitro content than 25% you will have to add a head shim to increase the volume of the chamber slightly to acomodate the higher volatility. otherwise you could get detonation & your glow plug will blow dropping bits of metal onto your piston, not good. 30% will run but it will shorten the life of your engine.
