Ok as for the stampead, yes it can be made into a rusty, there are only a few differences between the two trucks, the gearing is the main change (other than the tires of corse) youll need a different spur gear and pinion gear to keep the speed up with the smaller tires, check the stock shock towers im not shure if they are any different. I think thats all for the stampead.
As for the jato tranny, no it cant be done, this was brought up in another form of another site and you cant mount it without either using the jato chassie, (if that is done you might as well call it a jato) or creating your own custom chasssie and drilling your own holes. THe tranny is just too big, the rusty tranny is already large enoufgh and cramed into the small space that traxxas left for it. I think that there is somwhere you can get a 2 speed for the rusty, look on tower,
hope this helps you guys

nuh i was talking to the guy who wants the jato 2 speed the only way to make a single speed as fast as a 2 speed is with loads more torque and taller gearing.

upgrade your engine/gearing and your rusty wil be faster than the jato, but if you put your mind to it you can put the jato tranny into the rusty, some mods are involved that your oing to have to figure out, because no one i know of has done it yet, im planning on doing it as soon as i figure out how to mount everything

Someone is selling me a three year old Rustler...the old one with the 1.8 or 1.5 engine...its not the new one with the 2.5. How much is it worth? or is it even worth buying.

Check the RCU Book Market Values. I found numerous sales regarding the Traxxas Rustler Nitro RTR.

I'm going to have to risk looking like a fool 6 pages in jumpin in this conversation here, but hey i have a nitro rustler! hahaha i'm very happy with it but i don't see this "uber torque" i hear from everyone, maybe just in grass. I'll put a video together soon... well maybe not, next spring latest, cause i still haven't gotten help with my wheels dilemma and it sits with 3 tires on my dining room floor. I'm going to bump the thread can i get some more help there?

is at a 2.5 rusty or a pro 15, coz the 2.5 has plenty of torque? if you read up on a clutch tuning artical and lighten the clutch shoes and then take it to the tar it will definately show you torque

Good engines from what i have seen, I saw one of their .12s in action and it would have stomped my .15, Iv heard some people questioning their reliability but i cant say anything about that, iv never had one myself.
