Default Engine help needed

Ok...first off..Im new to nitro..I bought two xxx-nt's from a guy..one was stock and it works fine..Other has an OS .12 CV engine using starter box...Well i got it to start a couple times but it would rev really high and then cut right back off...Now..I can't get it to do anything now..Is this thing dead?Does anyone know about how much it would cost to have it sent in to be fixed??Or should i look for new engine..Keep in mind i want to race with truck..but in rc pro series that i've been looking at.you can use 12or15 engines...

sounds as if the idle screw is right open, or the high and low speed needles are lean as buggery.

Download a manual of of OS website and get the factory settings, set the idle so the gap in the carb is only 1 to 1.5mm, and u shoyld be good to go, once u have the factory, u can start tuning the motor till it runs good

oh yeah and replace both the motors glow plugs, OS8s work great in OS motors, and it should work great in the mach 15 as well.

And replace all fuel tubing

The best thing to do would be to totally dissasemble both motors and clean them and inspect, seeing there second hand they might be gummed up inside

do u have a dremel? If so use a cutting bit and cut a groove into the bolts, that way u can use a flat bladed screw driver to undo the bolts, worked for me countless times

Also, on engine mount screws, you could grind off just the head of the screw. Then when you take the engine off, it leaves a stud sticking up. You can easily grab this with a pliers to remove it. I would try cutting grooves first, though. Like scottywilkes suggested.
