Wow, Aurora, used to have one with a YS 61 AR. Plane seemed huge at that time. Still one of the best pattern plane I have ever flown.

Electric Focus II. AXI 5330/F3A, Jeti 90, TP 5s3p 6000 (x2), APC 22x12e prop. Weight as it sits is about 11 lbs 4 oz, new batteries (current sets have 115 and 108 cycles respectively) will put it under the limit. Plane flies great, and power is unbelievable!

Here is my newly completed Insight. All wood plane, OS 160 with pipe, 10 lbs 4 oz.. could easily make 10 lbs with little trouble.
It has no roll coupling and pushes slightly to the belly. Uplines and downlines are awesome... rolls easy. Plane is a dream.
More info in the build thread and plans/foam cores are available. Mine has a much modified canopy but the original can be seen next to it in one of the pictures.
enjoy

My latest model, called "el Centro".
Purely designed for electrics, using a Cyclon F3A motor and TP 6000 mAh Pro-Lites.
New Schulze regulator on order, used an old Hacker 77 Opto for initial flights.
Total weight (less wheelpants due to all this snow) is 4800g (10 lbs. 9 oz)
