i love my matrix!! it flies great but i havn't had much time on it. i was given a dud 140dz that never keeps the same setting and barley produces enough power to fly the F3A sequence.

A couple pics of my well-used Boxer 120. 'Man's best friend' has been flying since 1998.
The green plane is my own design from a few years earlier...the Talon...it's just a simple 4-channel sport plane with good flying characteristics. Flys off both land and water.

Here is my new 2x2 pattern model, I acquired it from a top pattern flier over here in New Zealand for a good price (Free) to get me in to pattern with low cost. I decided to recover the airframe as it was a bit dirty and the covering was lifting in places. the model is home built and is designed around the Gator Typhoon although it doesn't look that close to a typhoon.

Equipment used
OS 140RX
4X DS9411
DS8411
Bolly 590R Muffler (seven chamber muffler, not a pipe)
Tru turn spinner, tettra and all of that other expensive gear.

Should be ready to fly next weekend, Anthony.

Hi,
Has anyone bought PL Products 2M pattern planes in the "kit" form. If so,what was it like right out of the box(aka, how much building, what needs to be done). Anybody have pictures of what they come like. I'm looking at getting a plane from PL Products myself and I am trying to get as much info as possible.

Thanks,
Doug

hi navaro, i think the YS120 would be a little too heavy for that plane, a YS110 would be better

Derringer. Probably 20+ years old. Note anhedral horizontal stabilizer. Magnum .91 XL. Gets small real fast! Need to hone up on my flying skills before I fly this one again! Tried a $10 3-blade 12x8 prop for ground clearance. Lasted 1 flight. Back to 2-blade 13x8 prop. Coroplast Spadet in background flys itself. Not so with the Derringer. Requires much attention.[img][/img]

If you have the 120 YS I think it would fly well. I would give it a try. I've heard of people that have used 140 YS on the Quest.

Now that's a trippy looking plane! You should finish it up and fly it for sure!

Where did that fuselage come from? It looks like a plane I had back in the 70s called the Stiletto. I had the molds for many years and sold them or gave them away in the mid 80s.

Here's a picture of the front cover of the assembly instructions. The plane probably came from the Los Angeles area. [img][/img]
