I might be bringing a few more shindens over here in the states
I have had renewed interest in the model lately! I had Extreme cut about 8 ounces from the model
and they are now viable for electric or glow.

PM Me if you want one

John, Be carfull with your Shinden
as I recall the Throttle Store had a bunch of 1-2nd batch models that had a few issues Weight ,Wing Inc.
PM Me and I`ll tell you what to look for.

Bryan

Thanks for that heads up. I imagine the Throttlestore has had these Shindens for a while. Weight is not a huge issue as I will not be competing in F3A but any other issues would be good to know about.

Best regards

John

Guys

The Shinden arrived from Norway today (By Parcelforce not Longship!). So far it looks absolutely fine, superb fit and finish to all parts, the wing tube is about 1/3 of the weight of the one in my Otop. I did a quick weight check on the assembled airframe which was 5lbs 12oz for the airframe , canopy (not cut yet) landing gear and spats, add the battery at 2lbs 2oz and we have 7lbs 14oz say 8lbs which leaves 3lbs for the motor/ prop/spinner ESC/ and radio install. I am sure I can do this under 11lbs. No instruction of course so I will have to re-read the thread. Fitting the landing gear looks like a PITA at the moment but everything else looks ok. I really like how they have drilled all the holes for the control arms very neatly.

Hey Bryan...I have a pretty much NIB Shinden from I think the 2nd batch....The wing tube is way out of spec., can't use (fat in the middle / out of round / etc.) Any chance you can get me a "Good" one?....I'll make it worth your while!...
Thanks
