Quick update:
The first of those 2 electrics Dean painted is RTF. Final weight? 10 lbs 10 ounces with the 5000 mah Vampower packs (about 3 lbs) and the large 12T outrunner (comparable to AXI). He said with the 4500 packs, it was closer to 10.25 or so. And this is with switches and stuff most people don't use in electrics because of the weight.
Not bad....not bad at all for wood roaches! Wasn't all that hard either. And oh my do they look sweet!
But, now I'm going to have to try and top them....let's see how these 2 electrics here come out with the large Tanics and the Axi....
Ahh paint, it's been too long!

I'm happy for ya Wendell! ATTA BOY!!!!
Dang 2 years, I didn't know that? Well cool, and you've built a 2 and a 3 successfully? Ok so they aren't quite a Dean Funk Paint job, but who cares...the real question, is how does it fly?
I was just dialing and tweaking on mine yesterday and I hit that "oh my GOD" zone where everything just locks solid and it's like a flying laser beam. It's actually pretty cool, as even when the 3's are out of adjustment, they STILL fly pretty darned good LOL
But if there's something that doesn't look quite right, then something is off. If it's hard to land something is DEFINITELY off.
When this plane is tuned, up and down lines are perfect, rolls are perfect, and snaps are perfect....except for the 45 down which tends to need some throw adjusting. I have no idea why that one manuever seems to want different throws than anything else. But it does. On your "box" condition you can snap cleanly everywhere...uplines, downlines, inverted, upright, knife egde, everything....and you'll have to work at the 45 down a bit for whatever reason. 45 down negative is like butter. 45 down 1 snap is butter. but 1 1/2 45 down.....ya have to take some rudder out. A lot of rudder out.

I think Chad is right. it sure does look like one, and the construction looks like it too....
As for what's next? Well, the 110 is "next". In fact it's due to test fly in a couple weeks. if it goes right I'll gear up and start taking pre-orders. if I hit a major snag I'll pass that along of course. Looks good so far. We're working on it 4 days this weekend.
After that, for the future? Remains to be seen. I have a few things I want to do as far as new planes. I don't think the VF3 is anywhere near needing a replacement, but a bipe is definitely on the table "just because"...just because I want one and want a challenge.
As for a monoplane, I'm still gathering info for what I WANT to do next. I know I want to push the envelope, just another plane isn't enough...it needs to be special. Maybe it will bear enough lineage to e a Black Magic 4, and maybe it will be different enough to warrant a new line. I dunno yet. but I'm in no rush yet for sure. it could be a year or 2 for that one....unless I get something in my head that I just HAVE to do.
We'll see....

For anyone who is curious. You wont have any problems with this plane on 2.4. I flew mine with the Futaba 8 channel receiver last weekend with no problems. My receiver is mounted next to my elevator servo right where it was on the G3 stuff. It is under the carbon canopy and surrounded by the carbon on the formers....Mike can post pictures. You wont have any problems,

Well the new Monster Magic will make it's maiden voyage Sunday around lunch. Everything is set, stabs at 0 and wings at +.5 degrees. I'll have some pics posted when we get back from the field. After all the trouble I went through on painting it came out pretty good. See ya Sunday afternoon.

Alright guys just as my dad said we had the monster magic take its first few flights or should I say flight. Had a bad switch and it kept cutting on and off. but luckly we caught the problem on the ground and my dad is installing a new switch as we speak. as for the flight goes it flew great. All we did was trim it for straight and level flight and just did rolls and stuff with it. nothing special. but the real flight report will come tomorrow. As for right now though I will give you all a little eye candy to hold ya over. here they are

When the 110's are ready to sell let me know so I can add to my collection. What would the engine size range from, 90-120 size 2 or 4 stroke.
