166Pts between CPLR and Silvestri on Judge 10....The judge was biasing. It was not a story of flying style...

Thanks
I never said he is not biased. I was merely trying to put into perspective that there are errors committed on either side of the flight line. With the two examples posted, one could argue that also judge #2 and #9 are biased. While you can smell it for #10, my reasoning was related to other factors.
What these judges (like #10) still don't seem to understand is that the more out of line they are, the more they will penalize the competitor they're scoring higher as soon as TBL is applied. That's why there are 10 judges and that's why there is TBL. Again: the best pilot wins. Always.

See if you can find the post started by a very best US F3A pilot about what happened to them at the 2005 F3A world championship.

One thing I learned early on, you'll win some you shouldn't have, and you'll lose some you shouldn't have either. It is what it is; if you don't like it, take up basket weaving.

Ryan, I've got a better idea___Work to eliminate the problem, one way or another! Understand?" Some of us just will NOT tolerate the BS! This is not a new phenomenon, I've seen this and have experienced this personally more than once in my 21 years of flying pattern. There's nothing more that I enjoy in situations like this than to have a one on one "prayer meeting" rather than to tuck my tail and limp off like a whipped dog! Regards___Everette

Duly noted, Everrete. It seems as though you're the only one with a valid, or correct opinion or assesment of any situation.

Forgive me for being a dumbass and opening my mouth.

Ryan, please note , the least you can do is spell my name correctly or is that another of your problems? BTW, after finding out earlier this year about your new employment opportunity at Horizon, I made it a personal policy to NEVER shop with them again! I've had all I can stand of you__See ya, Everette

No doubt... he's friend of Seba.

But now, let's make justice to the statistics: one judge (aparently) biased was damped by another 9 judges. He's biasing became less than 1% of total points.
That's why it's so goo to have 10 judges instead of 3, he!!!

How many times have we seen rounds/comps won by less than 1% i.e 990 points to 1000 points, answer many times. This judge had a 25% spread from average between SS and CPLR i.e +14% - 11% [X(]. I know TBL offset some of this but that does not make it ok in my opinion.

Well; the real truth is NONE (except for Girabel, spain) uploaded ANY video from the european cup. It's still hard to believe that nobody registered nothing... nobody.
I wish I could've gone there to do it...

Just got back home to Finland from Austria late last night. Feeling pretty tired but happy. My thanks to the judges, organizers and fellow competitors!

CPLR and Angus Balfour I believe are flying YS.
Y don´t know exactly but, all french team, a russian team member, 1 from Netherlands, Bernt Olsson (SWE), a finish member flew with YS. Maybe a few more.
I believe also Marc Rubin (SUI), Lars Hoi (DEN) and Tommy Stenlund (SWE) flew YS. The russian team member flying YS was Sergei Danilov and the Dutch was Danny Van Vliet. Out of the Finnish team Jani Loikkanen and myself flew YS ( 170CDI).

If i`m not mistaken the final results will be determined by best unknown and best final sequence if so CPLR did it again..!!!.

He won unknown 1 and Final 3 no matter what the outcome of the last unknown he`s got 2000 normalized points already.

Correct me if i`m wrong..!!!.
I do not think it was over after two final rounds. If Seba would have won both the second known and unknown, CPLR and Seba would have tied at 2000p each. In that case the result of the semifinals, which Seba won, would have been used to determine the winner. Since Seba won the second known, it was down to the last unknown to decide the winner.

About the rain, it was actually not that bad this time. In the 2006 EC in Switzerland it rained the whole four days of the preliminaries. Rubber boots and a rain shield for the transmitter are pretty much mandatory equipment. There was a nice big tent where the models could be assembled and held when waiting for Your turn to fly. Also the ready boxes had a shelter over them.

A short video of Gerhard Mayr and his new plane, It´s amazing his snaps all perfect (from my point of view). I want to thank Mr. Andres Girabel for posting this videos in a Spanish forum Acro3d.com

Thank you very much and congratulations for your results in the European Championships.
