RE: New Hitec Aurora 9-Channel 2.4Ghz Radio System
6 cell battery that needs to be cycled. I have a Sirius Super Test that supports 4/5/8 cells, but not six. I suppose my options are: buy another cycler, switch to a lipo, turn on the TX and let it run down the battery then recharge. That sounds kinda hokey to me and not very accurate.

As I mentioned, previously, Post 3438, on Pg 138, hummed up the thread. The Moderator was working on the problem. I have had no problem with Pg 139, but if I try to go back to Pg138, it takes a minute to load. Everyone has had this problem.

RE: New Hitec Aurora 9-Channel 2.4Ghz Radio System
I have been unable to download the hpp-22 software from hitec. It appears to be my computer, but I've tried turning off all of the antivirus stuff with no luck. Does someone have the software that they can send me? [email protected]
Thanks

Why would you not want a module based system. I had an issue and had to return my module for service. Since I had a spare module, I was able to plug it in, rebind and keep flying without missing a beat. Be careful of what you wish for!

When will the A9 be available as an integrated 2.4 system without a module and a wire linking the antenna?

RE: New Hitec Aurora 9-Channel 2.4Ghz Radio System
Some people have the idea that a module based system is limited. This is because the modules made for foreign transmitter (like a Spektrum module in a Futaba radio for example) always use PPM encoding as a standard and as a result are somewhat limited. Normally they are restricted to 8 channels.
Using the Hitec module in the Aurora has no such restrictions. Everything works as if it was an integrated setup due to the fact that there are extra pins on the transmitter and module, the transmitter knows it's working with a Hitec module designed with the special interface.
The wire poses no problems. I have had mine since the first ones arrived in the USA and I have completely forgotten that the wire is there.

I bought the Spektrum RF Module, for my JR XP9303, when it first came out. I never had a problem with the Coax cable. I did obtain the new Updated case for the Spektrum Module, where the Antenna is molded in to the Module and eliminates the External wire. I like it better.

If you using Spektrum I can understand wanting a non module based system because of the Model match feature. I like the way the menu comes up in the Aurora, so far no issues with this system.

Michel, you crack me up!
Everyone's points are well taken.
I've been staring at radios until my eyes are ready to pop out. The more I look at this radio the less reasons I can come up with not to buy it.
Wire, what wire? Did someone mention a wire?

Well when 5.8 or whatever it is next comes out in a year, the A9 guys will be able to plug in and fly. Not have to buy a whole new radio or just sit back and brag on their antiquated systems. Plus they have hooked guys like me that have the module in a Futaba and multiple receivers, so I can upgrade to the A9 when I decided I can't live without one.
