Steven -- just remember that that ofna engine usually runs hot and it will get finicky - they can be a real pain in the butt. Start saving your money for a new engine.

get a RG..

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

i'll have to agree with that. OS RG .21, cheap, reliable, easy to tune, holds a tune, runs like a champ.

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

How much do they cost? I'm gonna start saving ASAP for a new motor.. Hyper 21's make me mad. [:@]

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

yep - go with the OS-RG Steven. That is what Amanda and I run along with others out there! I think that they cost $109? That is w/o the pull start -- not sure what it is with a pull start. You can get them at the shop.

SManMTB 03-17-2006 02:39 PM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

The RG with pullstart is not worth it. You need an exhaust header that clears the pullstarta and by then you're already up to $170 or so.

Get the normal RG + starterbox and apply a rebate/coupon or have someone match that price.

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

ouch! Steven --- listen / read what Christian wrote..... he is correct - apply the same money towards a bump box and you'll always have it and won't need to worry about the pain in the butt that pull starts create. Start saving your money and when the time comes to buy -- you can start asking questions about starter boxes.

Hey folks,

I was wondering if you all ever run any 1/18 scale on your tracks? I know they are more laid out for 1/8 buggies, but me and two buddies have some 1/18ths (LST, TLT-1, 18T, and KMI mini) and would really like to find some folks to race once or twice a month.

I would love to do nitro, but I live out at the lake and the old folks have a thing about noise louder than silent fart, so I have been sticking to electric so I can run them around the house.

Tricky

A couple of the guys have the 18th scale trucks - but we have not raced them that I can remember. 10th scale electric buggies get raced sometimes - about 5 or 6 of the folks have them (Losi XX4 and XXX4).

Dave, check the date of the postmark. Thats when it was actually mailed. NOT WHEN YOU ORDERED IT!

Super_Dave 04-10-2006 10:23 PM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

The date on the package says March 15, 2006. :)

Dave -- then it didn't get sent priority mail. I have had items sent priority mail from California and it only took like 3 days. If you paid for priority mail - then you should call Ace up and complain that it didn't get sent that way and they should refund you the difference.
