so, the losi tires will fit directly onto stock rims? maybe i should buy narrower rims... not sure. I'm gettin mine tomorrow and am instantly gonna upgrade!!

Get either the losi claws or the trusty ol masher 2ks. The mashers took 1st in the last comp I was in and the losi tires took 2nd. The losi claws did have better traction on slopes but I feel the mashers still have a better tread design for uneven/jagged stuff.

Imex does make some cool looking tires but they perform terribly. Their compound is way to hard. I ran some on my WK for a while.

Now I run Masher 2ks

My buddy runs the losi claws

Rye, yes those moabs will fit on the WK rims.
If you want a slower motor with more torque you can go to a 35t, 45t, 55t, 65t or even a 75t motor. Higher the number the slower and more torque it will have. You can still use your stock ESC with those motors.

I found the red rocks make up for their less grippy compound with flexibility and rugged knobs.
Also check out these other pics. I have had the truck since it first came out. I have been addicted ever since.
I originally picked my WK up for a change of pace. I bought a second days later to upgrade to 4wd 4ws.
Now upgrades include:
custom lower links
custom steering rods
custom servo bracket
65t integy lathe motor
Pro-boat waterproof speed control
JR rs310 syn rx
Hitec 645 mg for steering and second for winch
Traxxas T-maxx Lower control arms for the upper links
T-maxx driveshafts
locked Diffs
Hardened steel final drives
savage shocks
custom adjustable shock mounts
Axial bead locks W/rock rings
Imex Red rock tires
I still have a little ways to go though before i am satisfied.

I don't know if I agree with your assesment of imex tires.
I have been running red rocks with great success.

I'm not saying Imex tires don't work. They just don't work as well as other tires. A guy was running cut swamp dawgs in our comp this weekend on the rear of his truck and they were not helping him one bit.

Hey does anyone know of any adapters to fit the larger 40 series wheels to the wheely king. I have a set of axial 40 series beadlocks and moab xl that I want to run. I really don't like the size of the 2.2 moabs I have on there right now. The whole "scale" term is relative... I have an 88 ford ranger trail truck that runs 40" tires so for me bigger is mandatory.
I need the adapters to fit the wheely king ...be about 1" long and have a 17mm hex on the other end.
Thanks
Logger

They do make adapters that SHOULD work found here. But they are pricey!

You could also find some rims with a 14mm hex and use them. The WK comes with 14mm hexes as an option.

I recently bought an AX-10( pictured above) that came with the Rock lizards. These tires grip extremely well don't get me wrong
but in the dirty situations i run in the stickier compound is negated by a thin layer of dirt that gathers on the tires
very quickly. The red rocks with their numerous giant knobs grab anything nearly as good as my own fingers.
