No matter if my nickname here is IDEALIST or MINI40 - I haven`t ripped off ANYBODY! - This is a LIE!
Actually I WANTED to delete my nickname IDEALIST and keep ONLY the new nickname MINI40, but it seems to be technically impossible here in this forum.
The reason WHy I wanted to do this, is your continous HATE against me and the LIES you keep telling about me - while NO moderator seems to care about that untill now (Hello! - Moderator?! - Do you read this?)
I have delivered every model that was paid for in full a long time ago.
Since I started with rc-multihulls, I have always been interested in the DESIGN and the IMPROVEMENT of the PERFORMANCE of these incredible boats.
And from the beginning it has NOT BEEN my intention to SELL boats!
All the time I have been looking for gaining KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE and personal IMPROVEMENT - which I was always willing to SHARE with others!
Some persons tried to FORCE me into unwanted business in 2000, telling LIES about the "huge" interest in rc-multihulls on the US-market, and I invested my money to create a product to sell it there - which in the end created a financial loss of 3.000-4.000 US-Dollars for me.
In fact I have had only TWO US-customers in 8 years!!! - Both received their models before 2003 - 5 years ago by now.
Since that time:
I try to TEACH multihull-design to interested persons,
send plans of IMPROVED DESIGNS to any interested person FOR FREE,
help others with THEIR models,
build my own models for my own experiments,
and as soon as I was able to verfiy an improvement,
I“m publishing that fact.
Nothing else.
Therefore:
Am I an Idealist - YES!
Am I interested in MINI 40 - YES!
So both nicknames would be appropriate, I think.
Nothing of this is a LIE, but it is the plane TRUTH!
Are you a LIAR filled with HATE -...- looks like -....- sorry, but it had to be said.

I am an IDEALIST, interested in MINI 40 Trimarans and all other possible multihull configurations.
So both nicknames would be appropriate.
I have NOT ripped off anybody. So whats the big deal here?
Maybe some of my designs will be serialproduced by a foreign company in the near future -
something I had been dreaming of for a long time!
Is this a dream anybody cannot agree with?

Dear Ian,
are you still interested in selling some of these shells, hulls, boats?
Some people have emailed me and asked for kits,
but as I am not building myself anymore I was unable to tell them a relyable source for well built trimarans.
And I don“t want to let them get in the hands of crapbuilders!

Hi Ian,
I had to change my email adress: [email protected]
(My own PC broke down, so I“m using the computer of my girlfriend for now)
Here is a good videoclip from UK:
http://www.malcolmdonald.com/multihu...rt250ct08.html
I think you will like it!
By now, plan Number 40 of the "Nightmare Mk.VII" has been sent to interested persons.

I can see the same basic (building technique) questions are asked again and again -
here in this topic most of them have allready been answered by me -
and also explained with lots of pics! - The FAQs, so to say.
As it is very long - which lots of unspecific stuff in between - look out for the "IDEALIST" -
especially pages 2,5,9,11,14! -
I hope this helps.

PS: Now as the "WAR" is over and no more lies are told about me and my intentions,
it could be helpful to re-read everything in here!

There are enogh monohulls by now.
Now the development of rc-multihulls should be pushed further.
I have carried the responsibility for that too long on my own shoulders.
You share it with me now.

Dear Idealist,
I agree with you when I follow this Forum and we can see that all development and support for multihulls come from you.
If have something that I can do to help you in this hard task, just let me know! Will be a pleasure and a good time to learn!

Kinda new to yachts so i will be brief
I am looking into making a trimaran for myself but am extremely limited in size for building one and have figured out i could make one with a length and width of around 750 and a height of up to 1300 so would any of the plans out there be able to be scaled down or is there something out there that is around this size in a tri. or would you not be able to make a good one this size
Cheers

For your 750 mm trimaran you can use the plans of the RT65 "Ragnarok" which was designed by me
(Ernst Zemann from Vienna/Austria - Nickname:Idealist) for Phanchita Supasirithanawat (nicknames: Siri or Sirit in the different rc-forums).
The free plans can be downloaded from Siri“s site:
http://www.rcsails.com/rt65.htm
This design has enough reserve volume for beginners on rc-multihulls -
and you just need to extend the distances of the templates from 65mm to 75mm each!
Leave the templates as they are - but increase the overall boat width to 750mm, increase the crossbar positions/distances proportionally and also use 8mm carbontubes instead of 6mm.
Also rigg- and centerboard positions should be increased proportionally, but neither rigg- nor centerboard or rudder sizes need to be increased.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask.
Kind regards,
Idealist

Mini40 multihulls future development route?!
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9841991/tm.htm
Since 10 years I“m pushing the development of rc-multihulls
and I found a lot of fellows with compareable aims.
Every now and then I also come across a person,
which doesn“t agree with my own attitude.
Whatever -...-
There are allways 5 to 10 times more persons that CAN agree to it!
The most active rc-multihull-community is still the german speaking fraction:
http://www.rc-network.de/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=166
Germans, Austrian and even Swiss fellows.
I also have to "confess" they banned me there, “cause I couldn“t resist to tell them some uncomfortable truths about our hobby.
Again - whatever -...-
But by now there is a good amount of well designed, well built
and also well sailing trimarans on the water - especially of the Mini40 size.
But currently more persons are experimenting with catamarans lately.
Trends go to boats with single rudder and daggerboard,
while the boats are built as wide as the trimarans = 122 cm wide.
________________
Currently the only relyable producer of rc-multihulls worldwide - of 65 cm multihulls and 122 cm multihulls - both cats and tris -
is Phanchita Supasirithanawat from Chonburi/Thailand with his very good site: www.rcsails.com or especially www.rcsails.com/multihulls.htm
All selfbuildingplans for free download on the web designed by me - Idealist -
as well as several designed by himself can be found at his site.
I have handed out all my plans to him - for free as well.
He“s the producer I can trust.
You also can find his buildlogs here in this great forum - and others -
under his nickname SIRI or SIRIT (still don“t know, what the difference is *g*)
More to come,
Idealist
