Thank you Vincent.
I am currently working on the canopy rail. The one I bought was functional but limited in travel so I separated the parts. I have a piece of laminate that fits snug enough so as to stay in the bearing trace but loose enough to slide. I will laminate a 1/16 ply to the outer surface for a spacer and start the mounting process.

I am getting real tired of having to remake things. After setting the canopy section on for marking it just did not look right. So I grabbed the ole trust measuring device and turns out the windscreen is 1/2" to far forward for the canopy to have the right arch. Being as I already drilled the holes for the windscreen mounting screws I have but one choice, remake the metal panels. And being that the panels have been on and off so many times while I'm at it I am going to replace the hardwood strips all the screws go into just to insure the holes have not been compromised.

Actually I filled the holes with Durhams rock hard water putty. I like the plastic sleeves for machine screws but never had any luck with the sheet metal/wood screw type fasteners.

I've used inner nyrod for sheet metal screws and had no problems with it. Do you happen to remember what size screw you used and what particular tube it was?
