So ya mean this "out-of-scale" seagull in the background ruins my chances to submit this shot?

I was looking for a plane to buy and found this on RCU. Custom Built scratch. Not my plane, but wish it was! Please Santa can I have it? .
Santa says yes. But insists that you edit your post until you actually take a SCALE PHOTO of the plane. Not simply a photo of a scale plane... a SCALE PHOTO of a scale plane. This is the 600th post in this thread. If counted, I wouldn't be surprised if 200 of them deal with what is appropriate to post in this thread. It amazes me that someone would still post a picture with a humongus house in the background. If your new to this thread, take a few to peruse the previous posts first. I swear, we are getting one out of ten that meet the criteria. I find it simply amazing. It is worse than it was when this concept was new and confusing. I could see it if there were no innapropriacies fro several pages or so, but just three or four posts up we go over the whole concept in detail for the hundreth time.
wow.
Am I alone here...or is it time to get out the lambasting stick?

I croped what you consider not exceptable and added one extra "SCALE" PHOTO FOR YOU SDCRASHMASTER

I totally agree.............Yeah........there are hundreds, yes, HUNDREDS of posts in here that have nothing to do about what the original intention was that Mustang51 started. Please if you don't have a scale photo, PLEASE DON'T POST THINGS LIKE SOME PEOPLE HAVE PUT!!!!

OK...........I'm sorry.......I'll be better...........sorry for doing this stuff...........I understand.....sorry.......No more from me unless I have a compliment about a plane, or I am posting a SCALE PICTURE................Not saying this sarcastically, but I don't want to get a reputation about being a "puppy dog" and critisizing everyone when I am part of the problem.......SORRY EVERYONE...........

Ok, too much BS on here for me now... If anyone does like checking out photography, not just of scale airplanes, but airplanes in general, I post new images from time to time on my site.. www.stickandrudderphoto.com . Of course flying season is a little slow with all the rain, so there probably won't be anything new on there for a bit.

SCCrashmaster you caught me in a bad mood the day I sent my photo or I wouldn't have replied to your Post reply to my pic. I apologize to all for the clowd pic I posted it was inappropriate. But simply I'm tired of your insults to people just trying to show somthing there proud of. Yes some are not up to true scale photo- or simply not a scale shot, but some are just entering photos they think are ok and may not be the best, butthink still good enough for this site. I thought it was Mustang's Idea and his call, but somewhere along the line you SCCrashmaster and iflynething appointed yourselves the photo police... You said you counted 600 post in this thread and 200 weren't appropriate... Go back and count how many post you and iflynething made just complaining... Maybe Mustang should just post his guidelines once in a while and you leave your 30 line bashings of people's photos to Mustang who actually does a good job of craticking without insulting people and there intelligence! I myself have enjoyed all the photos that have been sent in, but I could do without your replys "Am I alone here...or is it time to get out the lambasting stick?" and others- Your replys not mine. I had my say and now I will go back to enjoying all the pics! ALL, Not just the ones you deem worthy!

Not trying to make trouble. Just have a problem with some peoples inability to understand the premise of this thread and bide by it, like it is some difficult concept to grasp.
So make up for it by posting a spectacular photo.

Default Looking at both sides.

O.K. guys,
I think we need to all calm down.
There are so many people that start looking
at this thread and see all the neat pictures and just post
things without reading the Guide Lines.
We need to handle this in a calm madder.
Do you see Mustang51 anywhere?
I wouldn't be around either.
If someone needs to be notified about this thread,
PM them to keep all the arguing down on this thread.
This thread has become a buncha arguing.
Besides, if someone is going to win in this thread
anyway for :BEST SCALE Picture: Why worry about the people
who enter the competition and loose?

Which is exactly why I recommend a dedicated website. Sure there's what people "should" do and then there's reality. Reality is that some people like pushing other people's buttons and will post inappropriately just to annoy someone. I mean seriously, it's all the chaos in this thread that makes it interesting. Otherwise why would anyone want to wade through it all to see some photos that they don't even know what they'll be seeing when instead they could just go to a website and click thumbnails of the models they're interested in?

OK, shoot the website idea down again, but stop griping about inappropriate posts because that is what is going to happen when anyone can post anything they want.
