Guys, Colleagues and Friends,
I do appologize infront of US and Canadian Colleagues as mainly my question is to European RCTankers Teams and Clubs.

Guys (borealis, ManMachine, wright971, Dandare01, karel41, steenv, Red Rabbit, sevoblast),
what do you think of the idea to gather somewhere in Europe (in the center) and make the Championship in between teams of 4 or 6 RC Tankers?

Prefferably on the continental part of Europe .
I know that UKGuys do such events. We also have the experience inseveral events - but Moscow is quite far away.

We are not talking about 2011, but Summer 2012.

I hope that Sev could also make it.
We were discussing internally with Sev last year to make the European event in Ukraine in June 2011, but internal challenges prevented to make it.
So this year we have discussed it withmy team-mates if we can go to... say Belgium and make the Competition. We can discuss this in details to prepare this even in a good way.

We are able to provide the teams with prizes as well: say Cups for 1st, 2-nd and 3-rd places won. And in general have fun. May be some other guys from other countries will be able tomake it? Any idea where this event could take place - openair or somewhere indoor?

That is what we are talking about.

May be in Check Republik, may be in Germany, may be in Netherlands... The Idea is to get European RCTankers together and arrange Teams Competition - call it European Cup or whatever.

As I checked the Rules are almost the same, all guys are following the same Tamiya/RCTWIRTankBattle standard. So we think that it will not be a big problem to arrange Battles.

To Judge the Compettions we can appoint the most respected and experienced RCTank Modellers and RCTankers that battle - "Battle Masters".

The idea is appealing, but we need a suitable hosting place, which should ideally be an rc tank club with an indoor location for battles.

Maybe also a sponsorship + hosting from some military vehicles museum can be taken into account.

We can start thinkering about such event, though.

We need to determine the hosted party that will take the responsibility of arranging the event + their recomendations for hotels + may be special deals for stay etc.

Hi Guys Posted it on our forum ,We have had a few responces,we are having a meeting on the 10th of June and we are going to talk it over.May I suggest a few Dates first or second weekend in May or the first weekend in June.These dates line up with Standard holidays in the U.K. and France possbly other countries.July and August are normaly for family holidays.

I'm kind of surprised that the idea has not come up sooner. We have more distance between states over here that we travel to meets than some of the countries in Europe have between them. I hope you guy's can all pull it together. It would be great fun to see how you all make out. With ETO sponsoring I know it should be a great event. Good Luck too all.

Having helped run events at Danville, VA for the past 5 years or so here are some suggestions


For your competition battles
Keep the rules simple and easy to enforce.
Keep tank inspections quick and easy at a min check
IR emitter depth and opening size, flash, sound, speed and that the tank will take hits on all 4 sides and dies after the correct number of hits



General
Publish your rules early so there are no surprises
Publish raidio requirements so that people traveling will be able to adjust.
Be sure to have frequency control board and tank stands

Once you have your venue try to get deals with the local hotels for discounts and publish your venue and dates as soon as possible so people can try to work out travel plans. Who know perhaps The 702 Red Devils from NC may be able to attend

From Russian Teamperspective- May is not good period.But June seems to be OK.

May I ask lone RCTankersand RCTank Club Heads (that plan to participate) to adviseother options.
WE have some time ahead now and can plan.

in la gleize there is the peiper KT from dollinger right in the front of the musea but its in the middle of the small village, would be not able to battle there

In Poteau there is one to with riding vehicles like a Sdkfz 251 and a M3 Halftrack with making daily rides with groups of 8to 10 people, the big minis that i and mark don't speakfrench at all, we understand it a bit but we have members wich talk good french too

Question and possibly help request...
While visitinga lot of RC Tankersforums different Rules of Engagement are seen in different Clubs.

Do WE have or can somebody advise something unique and simple that is understood by everybody?
Or shall we go some other way - create something unique?

What do you think?
