we will have to try it out on battle day in august
hope the way i installed it is ok i put the IR LED in another tube looks like a double barrel

Looks pretty nice. You can simply put the IR LED in the mantlet and do away with the second tube. looks a bit strange.

Greg,

punch out the LED for the airsoft gun and put the IR led in there. Mount it in a tube with the tip of the IR emitter recessed 9mm from the end of the tube.

You can also mount your receiver in a hatch. Paint it if you wish, just don't block the window to the receivers.

Here's a couple pictures of what Tim is refering to, one is my DBC Stug III, the other is my lastest, the Tiger I with an SLU.

The red paint brush handle is pointed towards the emitter in both pictures.

well i did have to clock the springs when i first got it
it use to bob around like a boat in water
but i always noticed the the last road wheel in front of the drive wheel was turned in a bit , it seems so
anyways i'm thinking that it is pulling the track off in towards the hull ,thats what way it has been coming off in that direction so i'm thinking i have to take those two suspension arms and shave a bit off on the opposite angle to straighten them out or i need to take a couple of links out i will put a straight edge up to them see if they angle in or not</p>

You saved me the trouble of posting the pic of my HL DBU KV1...thanks. This was the first DBU tank at the Danville battlefield and it scored several kills that weekend along with Steve's (AKA Shenlonco) DBU Walker, which is also brought with me. Steve has not made it there yet. But I'm still trying to get him down there. As you found out the "Apple" can't be put at the hatch and the remember also, the HL KV has NO depression. You will notice my emitter points downward to impart some depression which is a must for my battle style. ALL Danville tank emitters MUST have a emmiter shroud (internal or external) to constrict the IR beam. If not friendly fire issues from the shotgun effect will be an problem. I have been mounting the IR emmiters in the LED & HL IR emitters for 2 years now. Be forewarned the stock HL KV with DBU has very little power or turning ablility when burdened with 7 or 8 hits.

Hi Joe......I've had two HL and one Tamiya KV1 ( the one I sold to Wayne) and the HL had no depression and the Tamiya very little. I guess you just got lucky in Hudson County.

Oh, and the KV looks great.

Hey Steve...good to hear from you pal. I've been away for a few weeks. We will get together soon for a battleday. Check the NEAD site.
