RCU Performance

Yeah, but nothing that hasn't been going on for years...literally. I remember some time back that RCU's managing company decided to upgrade the software to try and help. People have always complained about it, but nothing really effected the performance. I can't say whether or not it's the hosting company or maybe the site just has that much content that it has become unstable.

More info here.
I actually used to pay for being able to list things I had for sale, but since the site kept crashing and not being available during many 'peak hours' (lunch ish, and 5-10PM) I stopped paying and just list either for free or on 'the other site'. It seems that whenever my connections are refused here, 'the other site' just keeps working. Not bashing or knocking, just stating fact. I actually prefer RCU's interface, when it works.

Yea, yea...this and the Mods overuse of closing threads and deleting posts has been going on forever. You all must be imagining this because if we all close our eyes, say there isn't a problem and clap our hand twice...then everything is good. All together...Happy face now!

It's been slow off and on for months now. First started May/June. I even posted thread about it here. It got better. Now it's slow fairly often again. Different devices, different os, different geographical location, wifi and LTE.

C:\Windows\System32>ping www.rcuniverse.com -w 1000000
Pinging rcuniverse.com [98.158.196.40] with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Hmmmmm. slow just getting to these guys, I wonder where their app and db servers are?
running a tracert from a home pc to their url is meaningless ( as is the ping obviously.)- timed out after the first 6 hops;
went to 30....

Yup, same here. Pretty fast and reliable again. Same thing happened months ago, when I started my own thread about slow performance of this site. It got better after that, for a while....
