Looks good how is the HL recoil working with the Tamiya electronics or did you just use the barrel that came with the kit .

After seeing your pictures of the KV-85 wsn123, I really wished I had went ahead and got the Profiline kit too. Yours turned out so clean and really, doesn't look like an aftermarket was added on but like it came straight from the box like that.
Nice work and weathering as well!

Excellent work on the KV-85! Really looks good!<div>
</div><div>So what steps did you take to secure the resin kit?</div>

Thank You all
1. I used the original Tamiya recoil and gun elevation units - so it wasn't any problems with Tamiya electronics. The turret rotation unit is taken from Heng Long KV-1 and it is working with Tamiya properly.
2. I adopted the plastic barrel from my second damaged WSN T34/85. The original Profiline KV-85 resin barrel wasn't driled inside and it was difficult for me to to place the Tamiya flashing unit at the tip of the gun barrel.
3. The model was painted with Tamiya "Olive drab 2" TS-28 and Tamiya weathering master set B

No I don't think it is he asked some questions earlier these .
may I ask some questions regarding assembly this kit ???
1. how to connect the turret bottom with Heng Long ring? the diameters of the ring and the turret seems to be different
2. how to modify the front of HL KV-1 which details should be removed or changed?
3. do I need to cut the one end of the barrel and barrel ring?- where ?- on the picture it is not shown -
is it posiible to drill the barrel to put inside flashing LED a t the tip of it?
4. what is the best method for cutting resin parts?
So I think it started out as the HL kv-1 and he added alot of Tamiya KV-1 electronics and was wondering what recoil he used or did he order the one that comes with the Tamiya KV-1 .

Oh yeah, that's right.
That was on the first page!
I have seen so many KV builds they all start running together. [sm=lol.gif]

You got that right Jeff I for got he switched to a Tamiya recoil I'm thinking of putting the EL-mod system I'm waiting for Phil to get in for me in it was going in the Porsche KT.
I due have a set of Tamiya DMD and MF units that can go into it and the EL-mod comes with the T-34 sounds programed in .

Yes You are right - it was HL KV1 not Tamiya - maybe HL is not of such quality but more cheaper
I noticed metal hull for KV1 /Asiatam?/ with proper wheels /earlier version/ - maybe in the future I change some parts in my Kv85
- metal tracks
- metal hull
- metal gearboxes - any other /better quality than HL/ are available?
I recently bought HL Panther V with metal gearboxes ant there are of very poor quality
P.S.
By the way - I have some tanks with EL-mod , but on my opinion the T-34 sound / from El-mod site/ is not natural . And the Elmod sound for KV-1 is not good too. The problem is that all samples generated by EL-mod blaster are "looped" so the engine sound is often not natural.
On the other hand the El-mod sound for Tiger I is good - however it sounds quite diferent than "real" Tiger

Hi wsn123 I buy both Tamiya and HL and like both of them for what each has to offer and am now trying out the Asiatam metal hulls .
I lean more to Tamiya you got to love all that metal but am finding a mix of all the best tank parts from many company's works real well .
