All four H9 Corsairs that flew at Nall are
in perfect shape
No midairs from the Horizon camp, but I did see the remains of a large
P47 being brought back to the flight line
on a golf cart.
Sorry no videos were shot by Horizon at Nall that I am aware of
Had a great time flying the Corsair with a G62 and looking
forward to burning more gasoline at the next event this summer

The marketing department of the company I used to work for makes this same mistake constantly like sending a race truck out to an event and not taking a single photo but winning the race!
Good luck

Bill, how much does the engine hang out with teh G62? pic? Looking at that top flite corsair with half the engine hanging out the bottom wouldn't do.

That isn't a G-62. looks more like a DA-60 or-85. Only the spark plug hang out of the T/F with a G-62

With a G62 all that is exposed outside the cowl is the
spark plug With either the stock G62 original muffler or
the new smaller ZP 62 muffler you will see a bit of the cannister just
slightly outside the cowl
I have not tried to fit a wrap around muffler,
but likely this would fit completely inside except
for the exhaust stacks

RE: Hangar 9 60cc Corsair
I wonder with all the what I would consider the premium engines for this corsair not able to fit by just hair, the saito 84, dle 60 twin, da 70 twin, heck i even looked at the zenoah gt 80, would fiber tech fiberglass have a cowl that would work with this model? I like the model but would love to have a small radial or twin with the ability to swing a 3 blade prop. Also and maybe I have over looked it but are the robart gear 90 or 100 degree?

This is also the reason that you don't find any heating issues with the singles either....
I never noticed HALF a engine sticking out on ANY 50cc warbird or aerobatic aircraft either....???????/
The top of the head is considered "Normal" for them all.......
When a cowl swallows the engine, then a large exit hole is typically cut out on the bottom for Air Exit... Otherwise
the hot air swirls around in the cowl and goes nowhere.
Other option is LARGE cowl Flaps in the oPen position...This may be enough...
Have any Pictures of the half a engine head out of cowl on the topflite???

Speaking of engines, check this out. I pulled out a G62 and put in a modified DLE-60 Twin on my Bearcat. It now fits completely in cowl.

Well I just saw the link to that "other gaint site"! Lol. Did you have to buy a new ignition or were you able to convert the one that came with the engine? And what is the power compared to the original.

I got more flights with the converted DLE-60 today and was getting around 6800rpm with a 21x12 menz prop. Waiting on a Xoar 22x10 to try out.

WOW!! Looks like you soldered closed the plug holes and re drilled them at an angle. Would love to know more on this as this engine would be great for the corsair.
[/quote]
Can't solder aluminum so its been welded, a threaded 10x1mm aluminum rod was used to replace the original location of the CM-6 spark plug and then it was TIG welded shut that way no danger of it ever popping off and hurting someone. CAUTION !!! Don't try this at home with any other form such as jb weld etc etc. I just wanted to see if it can be done and so far am very happy with it. It is a big risk of possibly ruining a brand new engine.
