Stripped the paint off the spinner and painted the prop. Now she's ready for the maiden.
Will need three bladed prop and bigger spinner for better scale look

Run a screw thru the plate into the servo blocks.

Part of my rookie mistake was I installed the tab with their grain running parallel with the panel instead of perpendicular

Thanks for all the ideas. I screwed all the tabs now.
I also replaced the cheap chinese wood with spruce.

Heres what i did pls see pictures. Let me know if this is over kill. The adhesive under the bracing is just silicone so the servo can still minutely move for shock.

Mike all it needed was the screws in it to start with from the outside. hope you have the alerions screwed thats the ones you should worry about? all that box building is ok a bit over. they proubly broke loose when trying to set throws. and yes im glad it happen on the ground not in the air! its time to gas her up and fly.. i don't know if you have ever flown a big war bird but you have to power your landing and chop just before landing. then take flaps off so you can steer it on the ground. good luck and fly well my friend!

Maiden flight!!
Finally, great weather today. high 50's with about 5-8mph 45deg cross wind.
Our chief test pilot took it up.
Flew beautifully. Not bad habits!
Have the C.G. at 27%, vice the 25%that the manual asked for.
From eyeing the elevator to its straight level position, it took a lot of trimming down to keep it from doing nose up. Other than that, flew good!

Here's the landing phase. I have to upload the take off some other time. Ix to follow.

Removed the wheel covers(pants) and stiff leg(no retracting of the gear) it to be safe for its maiden flight.

**Correction: I wrote previously 631RSE for the Robart electrics, its actually 630RSE. The 631 is for the 85degree, you will need the 90 degree retracts for this ESM since the wing mount is already offset to take the 90DEG landing gear.

-Another thing that everyone building this model might consider is the routing of the elevator "down" pull cable. The routing has too much bends so it gives the servo a lot of work to pull the elevators downwards.
