Yeah Pete. How much longer do I have to drag out my build just so we have something to talk about before you take your thread back over?

Ron H. Where are you. Must be flying weather there to or business must be good.

I've been doing family things and getting in a little flying. You have to take advantage of the weather when you can. The weather for the next 2 days is saying (Rain= building time)
I just about have the guides for the Cowl mounting screws worked out again. I hope I don't have to redesign anything else.

Does anyone live close to Indiana? We are having a Fly in on June 19. Warbirds will be well represented. We can always use more. This is open to everyone with all kinds of planes. We are also giving away a YDA-56cc engine to a lucky Pilot through a drawing. This is also the first event that I organized and am in Charge of. I'll post a link to Our web site later on today.

It hasn't really been raining all day but I finally worked out the last Straw guide.

Here is the Clubs web site. It has a flyer on the front page that will give you info on the Fly In. http://www.converseeagles.org/ On the web sites video page there is a link to my You Tube Chanel. There are a bunch of videos on there some are even a little funny. Enjoy.

Hey Tom I am still around, I keep up with all thats going on here about everyother day. I have hung the plane up as I don't have the funds to complete it. But my job is getting better, it's looking up. I can't wait to see the video of the madian and the write up.

Hi Ron. Great to hear from you.
I'm looking to fire it up in the next few days with the Cowl off and look for leaks. I'm going to try and get a few of my friends together and see if someone can take a vid of the startup. I'll make it short so it isn't to painful to watch. Hopefully the maiden will be next week sometime.

Tom you already know this but if it isn't ready don't force it. Take your time and when you get that warm fuzzy feeling in your pants you either need to change your draws or she is ready to go. Good luck and may she fly like the wind.

I made a decision to make the 47 my main project till its finished. It's been playing second fiddle long enough. I believe I have all the parts in hand to finish it.
Progress Repot later this afternoon before I have to go to my grand daughters Sweet 16 Party to Chaperone. Maybe I get her to take picture with her Old Grandpa.

I got the lead Box mounted Permanently with the 4-40 screws.
Got all my batterie extensions in place but forgot which switch I put the kill switch on and will have to figure it out. I'm still learning the JR radio. Run out of time Yesterday.
Got all the painting finished underneath the Cowl.
The Picture shows My Grand Daughter and Me at her Sweet 16 party. This is why I couldn't work on the plane all day yesterday. Today I have another excuse. We may go flying. The weather looks promising.

Hello I have not posted here before but have been keeping up on it.
My buddy and I just finnished a the big Top Flite Jug we put a G-62 in it for power Robart gear
Century jet tail wheel retract. All painted with Warbird Colors including the Nose art
The aircraft is done up in LT. James R. Hopkins Scheme. It flies AWESOME and the G-62 with a 20-12 APC
Racing prop hauls -ss. The bird came in at 26.lbs dry. If I knew how to include some pictures I would
But I do not. Happy landings UDET

I wish we would liver closer together. You are just like Sweetpea and Ron and live to far away It would be great to get together and put them in the air at the same time.
You never know I may strike it rich and head out west some day. Just don't hold your breath.

I don't know if it happens toy you guys or not but every time I think Im going to start working on the plane something gets in the way. In this case a bunch of little things.
I did manage to figure out the radio and the wiring once again. Just have to shorten some extensions and secure them then the fuel lines and then I can permanently mount the servos. If all goes well I'll have that finished tomorrow maybe even have it ready to fire up on Monday.

I couldn't find the stopper and the clunk for the tank so I had to go get a new one. The breaks started sticking on the truck on the way so I'll have to get it fixed. I'll have to postpone the start up till later on in the week since they are calling for Rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Hey Old Tom

Those weather guys are allways mocking things up bin there with the brake problem realy smarts when the guys you have change the oild and check things out and say "brake look good" and a week later you have to do a major on them[>:]

But look at the bright side at least you are not doing hunny do's

Weather hear has been the pits, till today and I made the mistake of telling the SHMBO I would clean the garageon the next good day[&o].
Still working with new med's for the d**m arther-I-tus to see if I can get the thumbs to work well enough to to do a full flight with the 47 or the Corsair.

Cheers Bob T

Got the plane stuffer and ready to start up. My truck still isn't fixed and the weather will turn bad again tomorrow. So I don't know when I'll get to it but now I'm anxious.

Tom,
best of luck with the truck and with your start up.

Just to show my heart is getting back to the models here are a couple of pics, one showing the the P47 waiting anxiously for work to recommence.

the other is my newly acquired 96" Model Design P40. that will be done in RAF North african Colours and will have the sharks mouth. Power is 3W75 and AUW should be no more the 35lbs so should be a good flyer.

I'm really getting anxious to get back into it, was down in the garage last night drooling over my new plane and working out how to set up the garage.

Home life is now much better as I'm back with my partner and things are going really well. Have attached a pic of us taken earlier in the year.

cheers
Peter
