RE: NEW Top Flight P-40??? 1/5 scale
I had this problem as well, but now solved.
If youcheck the wheel axle part of the Robart 150 retract, you can see there is a allen screw to tight the axle direction. you can try to screw tight this portion and make sure the wheel direction is lean forward (same as nore, not 90 degree to the wing). you maybe able to retract the wheel just right into the hole.
My wheel won't retract right into the hole, I fine tune this part is fixed now. you can try it.

You guys are the best. Yes I did glue the blocks . They are lined up perfert and the gear are new, I ordered them at Joe Nall in may. The oleo allen screw was loosned and I readjusted the bottom of the strut now they fit just fine. Thanks for the help.

I have sent an email to TF asking for a better detailed info about location of the stickers I think some go on the wings but other than the Chinese insignia I am having a difficult time with location for these. I would like to be close to the prototype locations. Any one have any better ideas or pictures of Rudy's P-40?

Hey T-Bolt, I get that a lot...all of my planes have 32oz tanks in them but I dont have one at this time and the smallest is a 40oz Its just a hair larger that the 32 and looks to be a good fit....here is my thinking, when you go up in a gaggle of warbirds, you want to be the first up and stay up until the end. I like to be the first up and the last down 32oz lets you burn up the sky and not worry about anything but the next four point roll or high speed pass...I love it the big tank drives everyone nuts, lol. Tank platform is in and air tank access panel is in place.

The new fuel tank location is actually better then the stock location...the original location put the tank forward of the cg so the cg would be affected as the tank was depleted. The new location is very close to the cg so the flying characteristics wont change as the fuel is used...what say you fellow flyers, Hmmmmm? wait till you see where my choke and throttle servos will go

Roger that. I use 32ozs in my WBs too. Had that very thing happen to me a few years ago. My 24ozs ran out while while comming in with a stiff headwind. (first up last down) 10 foot off the ground, when the engine stopped so did the plane. That was the last time I damaged my gear. I put a 32ozer in and I can get 2o to 25 min at WOT.
The down side to this is I had my thottle linkage break at WB over Delaware. At less than half thottle she flew for 45 min. I finnally brought her in long and low for a nice belly landing. I broke the prop but she was down safetly. It still had 1/4 tank. That's the only flight I didn't enjoy with my Stang. She now has a remote kill switch.

Been there done that T-Bolt[:@] Im going to show you how to avoid that...It happened on my Aeroworks P-51. The throttle servo mounts came loose at the glue joints with 33.8 oz (1000cc) of fuel. I put my choke on a servo so all I had to do is drop the gear and line up for the landing...close the choke and kill the engine You just want to put the choke control on a switch that you wont accidentally or absentmindedly hit So the choke and throttle servos go in today. First I have to open the front compartment up a little more to make the room I will need for two servos, ignition, and ignition batteries

I had a servo on the choke before. I found I can prime it by hand (side carb) faster than the choke could. It just happened before I got the switch mounted. In fact I used the same servo on the same slider switch.
When You get that DA 60 in the P-40, I'll show you what an old well worn G-62 can do in a Mustang. LOL

That will be great T-Bolt Zenoah is a great engine...I have a friend with the DA60 and its not broken in yet...2 gallons of fuel so far and he is spinning a 24x8 at 6450rpm. Its going to be a great engine as well I got a lot done on the new servo locations for the choke and throttle..had to stop for family visiting. Plan on finishing this evening though and will post pics when finished.
