apparently you were so concerned with correcting grammar you didn't even read the damn thread .

Redcatracing said he would get the parts for the kid , looks like it's going to be taken care of ....... furthermore it also appears that 1400$ was a good price , since they are 1800$ from Redcat .

Dan

For $1400 or less, you can get an FG. So no, I don't think it's worth $1800 regardless of what redcat charges. BTW, there are kids on this site, so keep the language clean!

i also don't understand why you would beat the OP up about buying a Redcat , makes you sound kind of snobbish and elitist don't you think ?

Dan

First I did read the whole thread, as painful as that was, and the parts are nothing compared to the electronics he lost. If they make up THAT then they did right by him.

There is NO WAY that thing is worth $1400 much less the hugely exaggerated $1899 on their website.

Finally, I'm not elitist, I know what is quality and what is not. I would rather buy a Honda than a Lada, am I elitist there too?

your still not reading the thread , he's not out ANY electronics !

the battery and steering servo that are bad CAME WITH THE TRUCK , and RedCatRacing has already stated he would take of the parts he needs .

savvy ?

remember Yugo's ? IE: Yugo nowhere , Yugo to the dealer to get it fixed , Yugo throw it in the trash , etc ?

i wouldn't of bought one either , but i wouldn't say to people who did ........ "boy what i piece of crap , you should have known better" ...... it serves no purpose .

he already bought it , why say "if you had come here first , you wouldn't have bought it ?" what does that do besides make a bad purchase worse for the OP ?

I would like to hear from the OP that he has conferred with Darrin , AKA , RedCatRacing via PM or Email or whatever , and what the outcome or resolution to the problem is .

my money is on Darrin taking care of of all of the issues and shipping the parts for free (not next day though)

has Darrin promised to get you the dogbones and A arm , as well as the battery and servo ?

would Darrin chime in here in case the OP has already put this thread behind him ?

regards

Dan

I have absolutely no doubt that Darin will make it all right and fix everything, even going above and beyond normal customer service policies. After all, Redcat, according to the current Redcat fans, has an "A" BBB rating for various reasons, Customer Service being one of them. This causes me to think that if Darin himself, the guy who OWNS all of Redcat, is taking the time to take care of customer service in person, will come through and satisfy the OP. And I also have no doubt that Darin himself will find out what went wrong and see it is fixed. For example, if the customer service guy was at fault, Darin will see to it that guy wont do it again. Or if the part is at fault, Darin will replace it (he actually said in another thread he will look into getting him the parts the customer service guy didnt want to fix).

But also, if Darin and the OP want to keep the outcome strictly amongst themselves, let us all respect that and not demand either to say what happened.

As for the price though, I do agree: $1400 and more than $1800 are too much. Considering you can buy an RTR Rampage MT for under $850, you can buy all the upgrades and hop-ups and actually come out ahead.

and earlier thats all i was trying to say you can get the rampage mt at r u faster for 729 RTR http://www.rufaster.com/redcatracingrampagemt.aspx

there is no way in hell even with all the hopups the truck he bought is worth 1800 or even 1400. its a rip off and thats my opinion. I fell for the guy he spent alot of cash and it turned out to be bogus. its good to see the owner of redcat stepping up not many companies would have.

yet another that did not bother to read the thread .

the OP bought the PRO VERSION , for 1400$ , not the 1549$ that is advertised IN YOUR OWN LINK !.

I've never had a problem nor have i heard of any problems like this from redcat if i were you i would have talked to one of the many redcat employees on this forum. Instead of bashing them on a very public forum before getting the issue resolved to your satisfaction. instead of sitting there getting angry about the situation you should have called them back and asked about the servo and battery. To me it really sounds like you crashed it... but hey you ended up getting the parts anyway right? Redcat is in my opinion the best brand that makes "low end" rc's and there usually high quality im sure theres a lemon here and there but that goes with all company's.

He did say 1400. Also, he linked RU Faster not for showing the Pro, but to show how cheap the non-Pro version costs. $1800 or $1400, his point is you can get the non-Pro version for less than half the price of the Pro and upgrade the base model for cheaper.

For example, you can get a modded gas engine for under $450 and a great gas tuned pipe for like $160. And you still have some money left over to put in some other upgrades too. And these will still be right at around $1400 but the modded engine and great pipe will really wake up this RC.

Ugh, fellas,! Redcat's customer service has taken a good first step here. They took initiative to service their customer and product. Win, win, the ball is in his court now. People spend way to much money on this hobby everyday, good thing too, cause that is how some of these companies' employees feed their families. No one (correct grammar!) held a gun to this guy's head to drop $1K + on a 1/5 scale, so who are we to judge. I know I have spent way too much on some of my trucks to get them bulletproof, but sometimes the investment pays off. Personally, the MT Pro looks like a pretty dialed ride.

I have never had any problems with my tornado buggy; any problem i have had was due to very bad driving or improper set-up.
I have already spent over $150.00 on spare parts and I have only owned it for a couple months thats not including my savage and my s-maxx; both of those i have invested over $1500.00 in 2 months.
If I had the money right now I would buy HurricaneXTR,AvalancheXP,Backdraft 3.5,aftershock8e and a Redcat Rampage TT ROLLER.
Man this is an addictive hobby.

Ive been keeping an eye on redcats stuff for a little while now. The only thing that bothers me about the redcat complaints is the fact that everyone who's said something negative about redcat hasn't been on the site very long (Very new users).

Needless to say this always makes you 2nd guess on some products but I figure when ever I do get a 1/5 Redcat I will post a review on here and youtube[:-]
