Default Beware of redact service!

[:'(]THIS IS WHAT HAPPEN to us when we purchased a REDCAT RAMPAGE MT PRO !! When the truck arrived we installed the spectrum d3s radio system (very nice system by the way) charged the battery went over truck quick put on tires ! Then we went to the park added fuel strarted it up let it run for a few min. started driving nice and easy about 1/4 to 1/2 throttle ( brake in) after about 5-10 min. AND IM NOT JOKING 5-10 MIN. the truck STOPED we had no respones from the transmitter went over to the truck . Thank god the failsafe system worked because the battery was dead!! NOT only was the battery dead but three out of the four dogbones were broke !!!! Two of the pins were gone one was hanging out. The one hanging out riped a good grove in the lower A arm!! So home we go!! When we got home to see why the battery went dead we found one of the steering servos was not working it was shorting the battery now the battery won`t hold charge !! SO NOW WE CALL REDCAT ( from the hobby store) they tell us that we should take pics. So we do we send them we call back . They tell us that they will replace the dogbones and the a arm never said anything about the servo or the battery AND IF WE WANT IT OVER NIGHT WE HAVE TO PAY THE SHIPING !! (50 DOLLARS ) They will send it for free but it might take a week to get here from arizona !! Now we have a 2,000 dollar truck in pieces 10 min. old that they want us to wait a week to drive and EAT A 45$ BATTERY AND A 65$ SERVO We think we`ll put the JUNK on the side and keep having fun with our BAJA 5T maybe get another one we have more then three gallons threw it with nothing but normal break downs (not 5-10 min.) GREAT TRUCK ! Just to let you know this is not a new hobby for us i have been runing rc cars for about 20 years my partner for about 3 years we own a 3.3 revo a tmaxx with a picco .26 bb. a mt2 with os.18 & 2 speed a brushless vxl rustler and a duatraxx vendeta What do you guys think we should do with it ?? Let us now stinkbombracing at www. rc universe . com

Did you mention the battery or servo to Redcat? A week for free shipping is reasonable.

If you are going to buy a crappy product, dont be surprised when you buy a crappy product.

You get what you pay for, especially in large scale RC. that said, the best support system you have in the RC hobby are other users and comunities like this one. head on over to the larege scale forum, even though Redcat isn't as popular, there's a lot of knowledge there.

What upgrades do you have in your RC?

Yeah, the price of even an MT5 is like under $850 in many places, and tat is RTR.

Also, Darin Oreman, the owner of Redcat Racing, is in this very thread at this moment. His user name is RedcatRacing. While he is here, you might want to ask him yourself and see how your problems can be fixed.

Damn, bro. That is a drag. I do not want to say that Redcat is junk, because it is not. But I would say it is a "value-priced" product. And I can not imagine spending $2000 on a Redcat. Heck, if you are looking for 1/5 in that price range, you can get a fully upgraded Baja or darn near anything else you might want I would think.

I see it! For 1400, that is actually a deal. From RedCat themselves, it costs more than $1800 USD

Speaking of grammar, saying "wrong" is incorrect here also. "Wrong" in this sentence is an adverb so he must as "-ly" to the end of the word being used as an adverb. Personally, I would not say "You spelled 'you're' wrong." at all, I would say "You spelled "you're" incorrectly."

Ok guys, the spelling lesson is off topic. Believe me, poor spelling and grammar push my buttons as well, if it takes too much effort to try and decipher what is being written I just don't bother. I also can't help pointing out that there should be a space between "no" and "one", there is no such word as "noone".

As for the OPs concern... you got ripped off plain and simple and I highly doubt you're going to get any satisfaction at all. The fact is that most of the people on this board already know not to buy redcat and if you had come on here before your purchase you probably would not have bought it either.

I hope you do get something out of this but don't get your hopes up.

apparently you were so concerned with correcting grammar you didn't even read the damn thread .

Redcatracing said he would get the parts for the kid , looks like it's going to be taken care of ....... furthermore it also appears that 1400$ was a good price , since they are 1899$ from Redcat .

i also don't understand why you would beat the OP up about buying a Redcat , makes you sound kind of snobbish and elitist don't you think ?

you really should try to at least skim over a thread before you bury your nose in the keyboard .

and BTW , your snide and chastising comments about him buying a redcat in the first place were uncalled for and elitist , they make you sound like a snob .

i can almost see your little pinkie raised above the rim of your Snifter full of Shirley temple .

Dan

I hate this guy. He is such a jerk. Go back to the plane forums.
