I took the top deck off of my volcano to to tighten and locktight the grub screws in the drivetrain. When I had it all put back together I noticed that when I moved the steering arm by hand it seemed tight. I loosened the screws that hold the steering linkage in place and it still seemed stiff? I also tried loosing the collar for the damping spring but the threads that it goes up and down on just seemed to spin? Does anyone have a pic or diagram of how it is supposed to look? Is it supposed to be a little stiff or move freely? Thank-You for any advice!

I had to wedge a flat head screw drive in the bottom part of the servo saver, then I could adjust it with out the whiole thing spinning.

What u need to do is take a screw driver and put it on the screw on the botom of the chasis that is below the servo saver, then take ur small t wrench and tighten the lock nut on top of the servo saver that also holds the shock tower support. Once that's tightened than you should be able to loosen or tighten the gold thing

ok im to lazy t find the volcano upgrade thread so ill just post it hear. i was just looking at some hpi dogbones (mt2) and there alot thicker then the redcat ones. there 91mm and redcats are 90. do you think this would work???. it would be a great upgrade so you wouldent be bending your dog bones all the time. also the extra lenght might keep them in there a little bit better.

I was wondering how good would a single speed tranny would work on a Tornado BB. The 2 speed just seems slugish on take off. My Volcano smokes it till it gears out.

I think they will fit (lengthwise anyway). BUT,,,,
If you are bending Dogbones now (from Compression) the Longer ones will be more Prone to the same problem.

And heres a thought....If they are THICKER,,,,will they FIT in the drive cups?

If you decide to give them a try, be sure to let us know how it works out:D

Hello! This is my first time ever in any forum. I own a Volcano SV and have stripped out the spur gearafter like 5 runs. My only question is what is part#8014 and is it the same as getting part#8033. I am a noob so this is a noob question. I know there are differences in the # of teeth but can one part replace the other. Thank you in advance.

sometimes its a good idea to put a sliver of fuel tubing in the drive cup to take up some slack, only leave a little bit of play, i think if there's too much play, they tend to snap

what kind of volcano do you have? This one is specifically for the vx .18 and .16, if you have the sv pro, you'll need a different one
