Forum Alerts

I just posted some ads in the Jets section and got a dozen or so "forum alerts" about paypal. What's this all about?

I'm not interested in shipping the plane. Local pickup only. I should have made that clear in my post. I apologize.

Firebird jet with Kingtech 60 turbine

This jet was imported several years ago. It is a trainer type like the old TBM Shok Jet or the LDS Jet Mach 60, but built lighter. I think it's a great plane with no bad habits. Great for the newbie...

Hsd Jets Super Viper with Kingtech 60 engine

Just a few flights on this plane. The original tank split and leaked fuel, which caught fire on the first turbine run. Some damage, but not too much. Flies ok now. Turbine returned to Kingtech for...

New HSDJETS Super Viper ECO RC Turbine Jet ARF w/new swiwin 60 turbine

Partly assembled plane and new engine. Can't/won't ship. Some assembly work done. My flying field is inadequate, getting out of jets. See my other postings for two more turbine jets.

Jordan, if you see this, I'd be interested in your thoughts considering you've flown the sport wing with a 100n and really liked it and a trainer wing with a 34# turbine that was perfect. You had me...

RE: Hangtimes(Nobs batteries) vs electrodynamics vs factory built A123s

I've used the Hangtimes A123 packs. I personally think the packs he's developed for use with the Hitec X4 charger (and others) are revolutionary, in a way. Batteries have one 3-wire lead that...

RE: Air tank for brakes only

BluBus:

On my Sprint, I have converted my Robart 630's to electric and have a small air tank (1.25" x 4.5") and a UP-6. I can pump the system to 100 lb and apply the brakes 15 times before I...

RE: converting air to electric retracts.

I don't know if Robart gear is used in the UK, but I just bought a conversion kit from them for my Robart 630 retracts that I'll use in my new Boomerang Sprint. I installed the new actuators (took...

RE: Kingtech Gas start owners please help

I had the identical problem with my new k-80 propane start. Most of the problem seemed to be with the green camping propane I'd always used with Jet Cats. No go. Temp never got up. Switched to...

RE: ** INPUT NEEDED ** Log Book Fields for Electronic Log Book

I like Scott's. In addition, a field to describe what kind of landing gear malfunction I had.

RE: Boomerang TORUS build thread

Wow. I am just speechless. Feeling that you had to strip the covering off a $1700 ARF jet. I am not being critical of anyone here, but ***?

RE: Boomerang TORUS build thread

Well, yes, that's obvious that if the damage is too severe to repair, a person would order a new part. I'm talking about damage that is not so severe as to preclude repair by the owner. Certainly,...

RE: Boomerang TORUS build thread

I'm considering this plane, but I wonder how repairs will go with this new type of covering. I've made many repairs to my boomers, both major and minor. That is what I like about the wood/profilm...

RE: Boomerang Sprint Build Thread!

Dave, thanks for that explanation. I never knew why, but all of my Boomerangs have needed at least a thick washer under the front of the turbine mount. My new Sprint needed a bit more (see...
