RE: Hinge tape?

Thanks Gibbs.

I managed to fix the aileron using some more tabs. I will use the tape as suggested only to fill the gap between the aileron and wing.

Hinge tape?

Anyone use hinge tape for the ailerons etc?

I tried to glue my ailerons on my Kyosho Spitfire 40 ARF with the CA and it set immediately in the wrong position. I have had to cut off the aileron...

Spitfire wheel / retracts position

My Kyosho Spitfire ARF kit shows the retracts closing inwards towards the fuselage (pic on the box). The wheels, when down, are quite far from the fuselage. The actual plane is in reverse, with the...

Li-Po Batteries

I can't afford multiple large packs so I need to make a decision on whether to buy one large or two small.

One large pack say around the 3000mah mark or two smaller packs at 1500mah each?

I...

RE: Finished Upgrading my 36

Higgy. Are the HS-56 servos a direct fit? Plus, I was thinking of the 6EXH TX, I am trying to find the best price, where did you get yours?

Cheers.

RE: OS30 pullstart removal

If you go on the OS website there is a PDF document of the engine. It shows an exploded view of each engine type and the crank on each one is the same apart from a tiny connector for the pull start...

RE: ST-R Assembly - Diffs

I've had the diffs out three times now and am getting rather sick. I need to finish this kit so that I can get my engine in when it arrives from HK.

I have put on one thick and one thin shim on...

RE: ST-R Assembly - Diffs

Haulin, I am bit confused[&:].

Just shimmed mine and I have about 1mm (or less) between the end of the pinion and the diff cup (and my pinion sits perfectly on the ring gear).

If there was...

RE: ST-R Assembly - Diffs

Haulin, did you get all those shims in the ST-R kit?

Is it possible for the pinion to rub on the diff casing if it is shimmed too much or should the gearing prevent it from doing so?

Thanks.

RE: ST-R Assembly - Diffs

I just put the small shims back into the diff and it is virtually locked. I am going to have to take some out to loosen it up a bit. If the gasket was a bit thicker then that would have done the job...

Thanks for that Dnell.

I don't race at the moment.

Apparently a roto start plate can be fitted to the back of the Axial, which is handy as I have the kit. I am not sure about the Picco...
