Hi Dan,
Stumbled across this thread. Not heard from you for years, how are you? I've retired now, no longer flying the big jets ☹️

Yes, I'm using nichrome wire on this foam too. It gives a nice shiny smooth cut.

RE: Do all 2.4 Ghz systems require a 5 cell (6 volt) receiver pack?

I have recently changed to 2.4 and understand from the UK JR stockist that there is no problem running the RX off a 5 cell pack as has been discussed above. However the JR servos are not rated for...

RE: Slik-Fly By Phil Kraft.

Jim,
I know the model you are looking for. It was published in the UK magazine RCM&E in November 1969 (pictured below).
You can get the plan from a group calling themselves X-List plans. There...

RE: Super Tigre G60 & Venturis in General

Jim,
With regards ST G60 Blue Head, I do have a small collection of these engines and they all have the 9mm choke. Smaller chokes were certainly produced but I think it was on the much earlier...

RE: Graupner Kwik Fli III

In the UK the the Kwik Fli will retail for about £75 which is quite good for an ARTF over here, $200 is a little steep!

RE: Graupner Kwik Fli III

I obviously missed the remarks about Graupners new version of the Kwik Fli. I totally agree, Jeff's kit is far superior I bought one when he released the kit but so far I haven't had time to start...

I've had a few people here in the UK wondering if there is any progress on the Intercepter (one of the guys was the chap who gave it to me!) ?

RE: Ebay Maddness II

Does anyone remember this kit, I found it in the attic. As they say on ebay NIB! It was a really popular sport model in the late 60's early 70's. Perhaps I should put it on ebay for a fast buck! Only...

Hi Dan,
I just saw the post enquiring about glass fuselages and foam wings and it made me wonder how the Interceptor is progressing? Hopefully I'll make it my winter project.

RE: Phil Kraft Slik Fli

Dan,

I was just 'surfing' the forums and noticed this thread. Did you get the article from the UK magazine RCM&E? If not I have the original mag and can forward the article to you.
