Crankcase pressure fitting on 2300

The directions suggest the backplate or horizontal through a mounting lug.
What location on the backplate is best?

Is it necessary to use an onboard glow driver to keep my YS 110 running at an idle. It will set and idle for five minutes on the table, I've timed it. 2000 rpm and it doesn't speed up lean or load...

At first I thought it was getting rich at idle, causing it to load up and die.
Made small adjustment to low speed and next time it died sooner. I couldn't hear the rpm increase right...
