RE: Length of battery lead to ESC

Thanks Red :D

That answers my question in far more detail than I expected. Like I noted originally, there would only be amatter of an additional 4 or 5" max, between the LiPo and ESC,...

Length of battery lead to ESC

G'day

Quick question - Is there any problem with having somwehat longer leads from the LiPo powerpack to the ESC? Not too much longer than normal, but enough to fit in an outside disarming...

RE: DX6i programming

You're right JK. I was confusing it - NE (Nebraska) that is - for an area within my State of New South Wales called New England, and the closest thing over there to where I really meant of course is...

RE: Binding plug for DX6i

An addendum to this thread which I just found out from Modelflight in Oz - the Spektrum distributors here.

If for some reason you lose or mislay your Bind Plug, and more especially if you lose...

RE: Binding plug for DX6i

Panzlflyer and Ken6PPc,

Thanks to both of you for the ultra prompt reply.
Panzlflyer - Because I obviously only have the plug type binder, to save a little time, and not expecting such a fast...

Binding plug for DX6i

G'day all,

The Binding Plug for my DX6i will not fit to the switch's charging lead - that's if I attempt to follow the manual's instructions and try to connect it to the charge lead on the...

RE: DX6i programming

Thanks for the replies Nathan and Jim. (Interesting that both of you are New Englanders).
Although I agree that the more sophisticated 9X or even worse costwise 10x Tx versions would cover the...

RE: DX6i programming

A little addition to this enquiry

How straight do the two aerials each side of the Rx, and the satellite have to be? If situated inside a very narrow bodied sailplane fuselage they tend to bend...

DX6i programming

G'day

I have a 'Spektrum 2.4GHz DX6i' set.
I would like to know if it's possible to mix throttle with flaps on the throttle stick, but only activated, when necessary, with a switch, not full...

Spektrum/JR 2.4GHz radios

G'day Danny,

I would seriously like to upgrade to either a DX7, or better yet the JR9303 system from a supplier in the USA, because they are considerably cheaper there.
However the MAAA - the...

RE: 2.4GHz Radios - enquiries.

Thanks for that Panzlflier

At last I have a useful opinion, and some reasons for it. From an ex Futaba flier too, and therefore unbiased I suppose. ;)
But seriously - My main concern in the...

RE: 2.4GHz Radios - enquiries.

P.S. to my last - Re competititve flier using a 72MHz module to fly in the US. I should have noted, of course, that he'd be using regular 36MHz gear. I'm not sure how he'd go complying with their FCC...

RE: 2.4GHz Radios - enquiries.

G'day Yakman and Pupmeister

Apart from Alan0899, who I've now emailed, the only info of real use to me is from you two blokes - and both of you are Aussies too! ...
Most of the other...

RE: 2.4GHz Radios - enquiries.

Thanks Allan,

As I am virtually computer illiterate, only knowing a reasonable amount about emails and surfing the Net, basically as I noted in my initial post. [:o] However I dunno how to do...

RE: 2.4GHz Radios - enquiries.

P.S. to my post.

I just read Krystas response to the same Enquiry about the Safety Precautions, in the Futaba Section of this forum. I guess I should have done so before I posted I suppose ...

2.4GHz Radios - enquiries.

G'day from Oz,

I read these forums quite frequently but don't tend to use them much, generally being able to glean much of the info I need from questions, and their answers, already posted.

RE: AAA NiMH cells for Rx pack and Jeti ESC query

Thanks Marcellus,
A practical example reply rather than a technical one - which are preferable IMO. Therefore 3 standard servos and the Rx would be the same as 4 minis.

Additional info on the above

Neither of these aircraft are apparently available in the USA - at least that I could trace on the RCU website.

AAA NiMH cells for Rx pack and Jeti ESC query

G'day

I am not well versed in most things electrical in general, especially as applied to E-flight.

2 quick questions, please.

1 - Are AAA 900mAh NiMH cells too small to be made up...

RE: JR X-378 Enquiry

Thanks Danny - You've confirmed what I thought would be the best way to go without risking an aircraft for experimental purposes. That is - set up a simulator with an Rx , its battery and some servos...

JR X-378 Enquiry

First of all let me say that I am an absolute novice when it comes to any computerised Tx and how to program it!
i.e. I'm a dummy!
I have the Australian version of...
