Hey all,

Someone asked me to buddy box them this weekend. This guy had a 9CHP setup for a Raptor.

In this case 9CHP was the Master and the 14mz was to be the Slave.

I created a new...

RE: NEW FUTABA T14MZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spread Spectrum radios are on the way. You don't see the benefit of going to a funfly and never having to fight for a pin to go fly?

Actually Futaba has been accelling at giving the heli...

I was having work done in the house and noticed that someone picked through my RC stuff.

If you Long Island / NYC guys could keep an eye out, I would appreciate it.

RE: G2 simulator on laptop

Hi,

I have mine running on an IBM Thinkpad A30P. It didn't work for a long time even though I had the recommended hardward. At some point in time, they did an upgrade that fixed the Laptop...

Don't forget the Rods

Cheap but annoying, the linkages to the head usually don't survive too well. You usually need to do a little setup after a dork. So far, I haven't put one in at any strange angles, but the frames...

Try Subversion

I bought a plank trainer and joined the local He Man Heli Haters club. I'm Learning how to fly planks (nice break from flying helis). Got to know a few guys and turn them on to heli's.

The...

Frustration

As far as grounding the heli, the Vigor CS used to have a problem and to fix it they would sand the shiny portion of the carbon and attach a wire (with a bolt) through the frame ( existing frame...

Gyro Problems

Is the Gyro near any other electronics? I have heard of certain servos causing problems if the gyro amp is too close. I've never seen a quick up close, but other heli's mount the gyro sensor in the...

Counter Gear

I was actually thinking the counter gear that meshes with the main gear to drive the tail belt. I know in other heli's, you can get different tooth counts (ratio's) to speed up the tail.

Poorly...

Reversing

Sorry,

I missed that in the original post, I read that it worked in another heli just fine.

I've had that situation where the radio and gyro (one or the other) were reversed the wrong way,...

Servos / Gyro

Since you have Futaba radio, I would stick with futaba servos and definitely get a futaba gyro.

I would use futaba 9001 servos or 9202 servos, and you could get away with a futaba gy240 gyro,...

Gyro's

Stick with the Futaba Gyro's. The GY401 / 9253 servo is cheap and a hard to beat combination. The CSM is also a good Gyro, but you need to be careful about the servo you connect to it. The 9253 is...

Most Heli's will fit the bill

Hi,

The X-Cell Fury Line as well as the Hirobo Freya X-Spec are all the rage right now (They take 60 - 90 sized engines), Raptor 60 and the Hirobo Freya are solid lower cost alternatives in the...

Another Solution

Another thing to try on the V1 is using a Kyosho Concept 60 clutch liner and cut the length down. Follow the instructions above as far as tape and JB Weld it in. I did it on my original...
