Don't mess with the Sr telemaster. The Lifting Stab is matched to the current wing.

Making a clipped wing would mess that up. And I have seen the tail fall off the arf sr when going to fast....

Try a gallon of Cool Power pattern 20 20. Add nothing to it. The last time I added castor oil I ended up with ugly brown burnt castor marks on the exaust.

For a FA-91 try an apc 15-4w for slow power or apc 14-6 for sport speeds.
The heavier props help with idle. Speaking of idle how well is the low speed idle mixture?

Try a velocity stack if one is not already installed.

Saito's backfire and spit props when too lean. Keep it rich.

I am looking for a manual for an early FA-90T Mark 1.
this old twin has two part cylinders. I would put a production date on
it as around 1983 or so.

How about a YS super charged engine and a steeper pitch prop for 6000 feet. At sea level a YS-63 would overpower the SR Telemaster.
At flight level 006 the YS-110 or YS-140 and the correct prop...
