How did he control the steering? Did he just splice the wires together so they were both controlled from one wheel?

Amen... I had to replace my 47t Spur gear for the first time and it actually cut the metal on the one-way bearing. Too much Guiness when they designed that one... BRILLIANT!

I stand corrected. It worked fine for about 15 minutes, then it started going insane again. Almost nailed a wall this time.

I'm thinking it's TX/RX time. UGh.

I believe it was the crystals. I had them replaced yesterday and tested them out, along with installing a proper gauge antenna on the reciever, and it works just fine.

And just in case you're curious, those bolts you lost are standard and come with the Fun Factor Spare screw set. It comes with a TON of spares including even the grub screws!

It's just something for me to mess around with really. It already looks years old and I'm sure I"ll get it eventually, but I want to get it up and running perfect (again)...

Well something simple I just thought about now:

I swapped the crystals in the TX and RX and powered her up - and wouldn't you know I had no problems!

I'm guessing maybe the RX crystal is...

My parts came in from Toyhaus today but they mixed up and didn't include my crystals - partially my fault since I added them last second so no biggie. ...

Well, replaced the batteries. No dice. I removed the wheels so I wouldn't have any problems, and it just went psycho then too.

Removed the rear diff assembly and driveshaft as well as checked...

Ya know I did just solder in a new antenna wire - I wonder if it came loose somehow. I'll have to break it open tomorrow and check it out along with replacing the batteries. I just hate to waste...
