Lynn Burks put his instrument rating to use.

RE: Sebart Wind 110

Velco,
I really can't get a good picture without some disassembly. It's really not hard to do.

At this point, I think 230 to 250 kV would work best with 10S. Both the Scorpion 210 and the Axi...

Hezik,
Did that change your Knife edge mix? And if so, what is it now?
Thank you

RE: Sebart Wind 110

Veco,
The picture says it all (almost). The bulkhead behind the motor is also "relieved".
Just get out the dremel, take a deep breath cause there is no going back, and enjoy.
I think the...

RE: Extreme Flight 2 Meter Vanquish On it's Way

RE: Sebart Wind 110

Sounds familiar.
You might try cooling the motor after each flight for 1 minute. The abuse we subject these motors to leads to alot of heat that needs to be blown away.
The 4035-250 is supposed...

RE: Extreme Flight 2 Meter Vanquish On it's Way

Hey Jarvis,
I thought you said you could clean the advanced line at the Nats this year with an Ugly stick and a K&B 40!
You don't need no stinking new plane!

RE: Sebart Wind 110

Unless your plane comes in it at 20 lbs you won't need flaps.
Build it per the manual, and have a ball. It is a very good, honest plane.
Leave the flaps for the scale jet guys.

RE: Sebart Wind 110

Hezik,
Saying the scorp is a crap motor is a bit harsh.
The 250 we use is abused with the larger than recommended props, wild maneuvers, 10S packs etc. The 210 seems to work OK on 10S.
That...

RE: Sebart Wind 110

The 210kv wind is for 10s. The 250kv is really an 8s motor.

RE: Sebart Wind 110

Guys,
I've used both the 250 and 210. I prefer the 250, if it could take the abuse I put it thru. Starting with 10s packs and swinging a 18/10E APC.
If you can, run the motor at fast idle after...

RE: DIST 7 2010 CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS, OCT 23 & 24

Yeah, like I would drive there!
I would like to go eventually. I guess I can't wait for the Nats to come back to March AFB anytime soon.
If we do go, my main job would be to see you get to the...

RE: Sebart Wind 110

Joe,
Bone getting a new motor!!
Fly the 4035-210 till the magnets shoot out like the 4th of July.
Save the $$ for a new 2M plane and a F3 Neu.

RE: Hanger 9 PT-19 C/G

RE: Hanger 9 PT-19 C/G

Hi Dave.
I have since rekitted the PT-19. It did not like the outside loop I attempted.
I will be rebuilding it next week with a longer nose.

Thanks

RE: Sebart Wind 110

If you use the smaller prop you miss out on the larger prop's greater braking effect. Having said that, if you fly 10S and a 4035-250 you probably have to fly a smaller prop/load until the new motors...
