I have 2 Star 45s. One has simple screw eyes for rigging.

You can use chain plates to replace the screw eye for the side shrouds and jib pivot point. I use aluminum angle from the hardware...

The transmitter does have a ratcheting throttle channel (sail control).
I found my 2 Sanibels on Ebay -- ones that were sold with "problems" --- great deal for around $100 each.
They both leaked...

Some of Hitec's servos require a Y cable to bypass the receiver and connect the battery directly to the servo.

This is the explanation from a Hitec manual.

I hope they are not junk. I bought 2 on ebay to rebuild a couple of Fairwinds. I have the 1st one installed and working fine. The 180 motion let me rig for a 2:1 mech advantage and seems stronger...
