I do not think the problem is the shims. You should have 2 shims under each large gear and one on each of the 4 smaller gears. Make sure the large gears are all the way down on the cross pin on the...

Rear bearing is 14 x 25.4 x 6 never had a problem with a front bearing. Nova inserts are same dia but longer.

I have one with about 9 gallons on it. Spent most of it's life in a truggy with 053 pipe. Plenty of power with 8.5 to 9 min run time. Watch the rear bearing at around 1.5 to 2 gal.

With the Kyosho gearing you should run 13/50 on the clutch/spur.

Yup, been on there 2 years, pulled 3 servo's back that quit during racing. I haven't opened the bag of carb "o's" since I bought them. Granted I don't race in the winter so if your a year round...

Make sure your servo saver is set tight enough. If your front tires are not staying turned under power tighten the saver.

Yes you put the end of the boot over the shock end and the spring retainer holds it there.

Kyosho is a great company. I run a Kyosho buggy and truggy. That being said do not buy their ready to run. If you are going to go rtr you are probly beter off with a different brand.

The instructions that came with my P-3 are wrong on the low speed needle settings. It says to set low 10.5 to 11.5 out. That is way to rich. I belive the low should be about flush.
