RE: Strange problem, please help!

Nope, i have a spring on the linkage.

I actually did take the linkages completely off the servo, and the same thing occured....at times ZERO movement when I engaged the brakes. The wierdest...

RE: Strange problem, please help!

We changed the EPA setting from one extreme to the other and it didn't seem to affect it. Same thing on my cheap analog controller with the dial-like buttons....It wouldn't even trim the servo that...

Strange problem, please help!

So I'm relatively new in the nitro RC sport and recently purchased a used Jammin' CRT .5 mini truggy with the spectrum DX2.0 transmitter/receiver. Here's the scenario (will try to best explain it)....

RE: Broke in the Hyper ST RTR Today!!! My thoughts

Well, I should clarify....I was more talking about the servos but forgot to mention that I had upgraded to a rechargeable battery pack. I'm sure that makes a big difference. Once I did that, still...

RE: Broke in the Hyper ST RTR Today!!! My thoughts

Keep in mind the Losi is quite a bit more expensive than the Hyper. With that extra money you could easily upgrade the servos. FYI, the one thing I"ve been MOST impressed with about the Hyper is...

RE: Jammin - Hyper

FYI, the *plastic* parts on the Hyper don't make a bit of difference from my experience thus far. This truggy has taken a BEATING and hasn't seen a bit of damage. The plastic is a high end...

RE: Official Hyper ST thread!!

RE: Official Hyper ST thread!!

bcane,
Have you converted your HyperST to a starter box yet? If so, did you do it using the MacStar engine? I'm having trouble trying to figure out how this backplate fits onto the back of the...

RE: Cen Matrix TR Arena vs OFNA Hyper ST

FYI, chose the Hyper ST and haven't looked back. I'm sure the Matrix is a solid truggy as well, but the plastic on the Hyper is a complete non-issue. Believe me. I've taken some HORRID spills and...

RE: Official Hyper ST thread!!

Yeah I'm running 20% nitro. Engine temps seem to stay around 280-290 until towards the end of the tank of gas...at which time it can spike upwards of 320 (which it's going to do since the engine is...

RE: New starter box..

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of deal did you get on it? I'm looking into getting that exact same one for my Hyper ST. My pull start cord got severed today and I figure I might as well go...

RE: Official Hyper ST thread!!

So just got done running it a while. Still running a bit hot (near 300), but didn't have my drill with me to cut some ventilation holes in the body. One thing that happened was my pull start head...

RE: Official Hyper ST thread!!

Thanks for the advice Bcane. I'll probably do some wrenching this weekend and give this a shot. So there are 2 shims? And only need to remove one? Did you have to retune the engine after doing...

RE: Official Hyper ST thread!!

Bcane,
Is removing the silver shim a relatively easy process? Keep in mind this would be the first real *take something apart* for me regarding this vehicle. I'm brand new to nitro....so...

RE: Noobie looking for Truggy..

Have had my Hyper ST for almost 2 weeks now...and already have half a gallon through it. It's an awesome Truggy. Engine runs a bit hot thus far, but I've got a little tweaking to do in order to get...

RE: Official Hyper ST thread!!

Both are solid truggies from everything I've researched. I had that very same question a month ago and ended up going with the Hobao (OFNA) Hyper ST....and haven't regretted my decision. I'm sure I...

RE: Official Hyper ST thread!!

By the way, anyone know for sure if the Hyper ST comes stock with grease or oil in the shocks? Tough to find this stuff in the manual. heh.

RE: Official Hyper ST thread!!

I'm still working on breaking in my new engine as well. It's seeming to get faster and faster as the days go by, but still probably needs to be tuned a bit (and being completely new to this sport,...

RE: Mantis or Mutilator?????

For bashing, I'd go with the mutilator. If you plan on racing some, I'd stick with the mantis.

RE: Truggy or MT?????????????????????

I was trying to make the same decision a couple months ago. I think I ended up going with the truggies because of a few factors:

1. They were supposedly easier to maintain (this was big for...

RE: Official Hyper ST thread!!

Will do Nitro. Well....I will to the best of my ability. I'll have nothing to compare it's performance to, so I'll just have to go completely by feel. Not doing any upgrades right out of the box,...
