RE: Torro 1/16 Professional Metal Edition King Tiger

Airbrushler got it in one. Plastic/metal, Tamiya/HL, pro/non-pro...who cares, really? Isn't this supposed to be about having fun? After all-and let's be a little realistic here-we're grown-ups...

RE: 1/16 Metal Tiger Kit

There were 13 basic Marks of the Centurion. I would choose the Mk3 with the 20-pounder gun. It was far more advanced than the preceding Marks.
As one of the most successful tank designs the...

There are Shermans and Tigers everywhere. Can someone PLEASE produce something we don't already have coming out of our ears?

RE: HL Tiger 1 questions

The sound quality is a function of both the speaker and its enclosure. To reduce the high frequencies which, at higher volumes, I find a bit intrusive, I'd suggest lining the inside of the hull with...

RE: Heng Long King Tiger

I'm glad I appear not to be the only one who finds the appearance of an HLKT a big yawn. Where are some moreexamples of the wealth of allied armour? It isn't as if there's a shortage of prototypes...

RE: Tamiya Leopard 2 A6 kit. Why so expensive?

I would very much like a Tamiya model but the simple fact is I can't afford one right now. I love the challenge of a complex kit; I remember as a kid trying to make sure all the turrets on an...

RE: Tanks in snow...

Nice shots. I bet it performs so much better with the 3:1; that gearing really makes a difference.

RE: Tanks in snow...

For me snow equals frozen water. Tanks have lots of holes in them for the snow to get in and melt. They also have lots of electrics low down. Water+electrics=disaster. No snow driving for me!

RE: These need to go...

Thanks guys. The way I have to approach this is to see them as 'stuff' which can be replaced when things start to look up. Unfortunately I also had to sell a valuable collection of books-all first...

Poverty sale! Ok, I have an HL Tiger 1 (IR version), with 3:1 box, painted, high-grade metal tracks and metal sprockets and idlers. Absolutely stock and unmolested. Also an HL KV-1 with metal tracks,...

RE: Need Help with Tank looking for DAK tanks

www.tankzone.co.uk (http://www.tankzone.co.uk) has a good website which is a good resource for showing you what you can get, cheaper, elsewhere. For example they are selling the KV-1 with metal...

Recession bites!

It's beginning to hit-and hit hard. It's got to the point where I'm having to sell-off superfluous stuff and my tanks have to, sadly, go. If there's anyone in the UK interested in an un-modded, as...

RE: HL Tiger I & 3:1 Gearboxes

I ordered my HL Tiger with the 3:1 upgrade (from Tankzone), along with nicely painted metal tracks, and it performs very well. Speed is easily controllable with the stock radio gear.

RE: The progress of an RC tank newbie...HL Panther G

You could try removing a tracklink to shorten the track and eliminate some sag.

On edit; I should have read the above before posting! Apologies.

RE: HL KV-1 and PzKpfw IIIH are here.

I used Humbrol #102 matt enamel for the sprockets and idlers on my KV-1. It's an almost exact match with the body colour, maybe a tad warmer green
