amphibious airplane club: 1+ I have a Twin Otter on Floats. I fly some from High Rock Lake from my boat. Mostly a summer thing. Don't know of any good old farm ponds to fly from.

No Sir! Per the directions I received, set the CG @ 90MM back from the point where the wing meets the jet body. Measure back on both sides and put a mark. The jet should balance here slightly nose...

Slight correction to the balance procedure: Place the drill bit between the two magnets on the vice jaws. Open the vice until the point of the drill bit will stay on that magnet. Now close the vice...

Heat issues could be caused by a binding rotor also!!!    Find the high spots and sand them out.

Engine shutdown I would investigate, possible heat issues. As for the balancer, take a standard vice, put some good quality magnets at eachjaw of the vice and open it up so you can fit the fan blade...

My kit came with a 72mhz Tx, Rx as an ARF. Radio was dead out of the box. Replaced radio with my Airtronix and all is well. I will be contacting Nitroplanes for a replacement TX, RX for the kit....
