There are answers, but unfortunately, I believe that most clubs are quite happy with their status quo and reallly don't have any use for the inconvienence associated with growth.

I must agree with you, you are in your own little world! 90% of the people I deal with are kit builders, in any event. We also stock a majority of kits, more so than ARF'S. THERE IS NO ARGUEMENT...

It's OK Fliers1. All these experts here with all the answers can't seem to increase membership to the AMA nor figure out why major companies like ACE Hobby go under, and it looks like SIG might be...

Hobbico bought the rights. It's a darn good engine too. It's available now but alot of the products wont be until December.

I agree with you 100% Toolman. To add to that, it would be nice to see money spent on advertising. Not to people that already fly and know about the AMA but the market that has no idea about how to...

Hobbico(, Great Planes) is selling their products. I spoke with a sales rep today and their gathering info on what products ace sold the most of and their going to keep them going.

:D Excuse me, I meant Hobbico. Great Planes, Tower Hobbies Top Flight Goldberg, etc., etc., all falls under the Hobbico umbrella. And now Ace Hobby. Your right again Fliers 1.

In case anyone has doubts about Ace Hobby, I'm a dealer and I called my sales rep from Great Planes and yes, Ace Hobby went out of business. Great planes bought the proprietory line of Ace products...

You shouldn't bash the paid flight instructor Scotty. No they shouldn't be ashamed. Just like the real time flight instructor or the paid tennis instructor, et al. These can be classified as hobbies...
