RE: Prop reaming

It depends on the shaft size. For the standard small engine with a 1/4" shaft you can use a 1/4" drill bit. I have done it by just using my hand to grip the drill bit and turning enought to just...

RE: Is this an omen for this season

Won't say yikes, but it looks like it could fly again - anything with some intact parts can fly again:)
Sorry for the loss but hope you can salvage it.[&o]

RE: Daniells RC in Nashville

They have moved and as I understand, have new owners. Take I-24 West a few miles to the Old Hickory Exit and you will find the new location. I haven't been by myself but some of the guys I fly with...

RE: Solo'd today! Plane intact!

Maybe we need to start the tradition of cutting shirt tails off after the solo;) Great feeling if there ever was one.

RE: I stripped the covering off; how to remove adhesive?

I ran into the same problem and used acetone but you really need to be careful not to soak glue joints with it. Wal-Mart sells some stuff called Goo Gone that will also help. Whatever you use it...

RE: 4-Star

I had the problem of the tail wheel wire pulling out of the rudder assembly also. To fix it I fiberglassed a small loop around the wire and lower edge of the rudder. It has held up so far. Sig...

RE: Should we have "Regional RCU" forums for specific countries or regions?

I think it would be a great idea if we could subscribe to the regional posts even if we don't live in that area. The great thing about the forums is that it gives everyone a voice that wants to...

RE: Debonair finished

If you used the double spar in the wing and 4 ply coro you might be surprised at the weight. Might came out right at 7 pounds. It flies with a TH 46 and it is enough power but it does take some time...

RE: Small Changes in the AMA

Part of the probelm with the lack of response could well be that the members don't feel that they have much of a voice in the candidate selection. If you are told that you can only vote for one of...

RE: Sticky back plastic covering

Acetone but don't let it soak into glue joints. Takes some time but it is the best I have found to get the gunk off. Someone on another thread suggested a product called goo gone which can be...

RE: How do you get club members motivated?

I think you will fid that with most clubs or any group the 80/20 rule is in effect. 20% do 80% of the work. You can try to null that rule all you want to and you will find it is still pretty much...

RE: VMAX Engine

Several o fthese engines are turning up at our field too. I've seen a couple of the 46s run and they seem to be a pretty good engine. I have read on here somewhere that they are the same as GMS...

I love the Nav Bar and use it daily. This is a great feature and I recommend it to all. Never a problem or worries about spam or pop ups. Thanks for a great service.

RE: Ever been injured by a spinning prop? Yes or No

Haven't done it yet but it is probably just a matter of time. I've seen the blood and the scars and I hope that is enough to keep me on my toes.

RE: Hardest Part Of Learning RC Flying

I agree with the lost orientation comment, lining up the approach and all the others are solid, but one of the big problems I had was over correcting with the sticks. When I wanted to bank left I...

RE: Best Source of Information on Covering?

Try applying some heat from a heat gun and you will find the covering will release fromthe wood pretty quickly. Careful with the fingers - it gets hot in a hurry[X(]
