Yes, you need to press the function key, fn and one of the f keys at the same time, it might be f4, but on dell laptops its usually f7 or f8.

You can only as a second controller, you must have the original g3/g3.5 transmitter for it because it has a serial number on it, or you could use a dongle emulator and then you can use your g2...

Windows aero is just a display feature, it simply makes the edges of your windows transparent, it looks cool, but takes more memory than the standard vista theme w/o aero, and yes you can disable it....

Nope, everything works fine for me! Make sure you turn off UAC (User Account Control) though, it gets very annoying...
