Have you got one of these ?
Done any mods to it ?

I found a video of it stock here:
http://www.zippyvideos.com/661538454...6/flying_fish/

I plan on installing a single speed 700 and rudder, as I do not like the vector thrust used on it.
Maybe i will try it with both stock motors, and a rudder first, and with a single ESC.

The first pictures is of a Graupner Mini sprint...which I want to use its motor/rudder setup.

Hey
i got the same motors, the same ESC and my boat don't got any rudder too and your boat will tend to turn to one side automaticly because both motors don't get the same amount of power. I have some pics of my boat too. I don't got reverse...sorry. seal the esc with silicon or somthin. I have two o these things. one with a broken esc caz o water and a wrkn one! when motors and esc get hot it won't run so w8 a couple minutes for them to cool off for a bit ad go back out. Don't leave the charger in the wall overnight or it will literally melt. I have a $20 chinese factory direct so tat how i know all this stuff. Hope this helped you out. and have fun with your new boat .

Dan, do you have a Complete Photo as that Looks like the Balaenoptera Musculus. from underneath

My Turbojet tracked pretty straight but yeah it does tend to go off a little bit.

The Atlantio was just plain slow hence why I am rebuilding it

nope if you press on the reverse stick the boat will go foreward. u would press reverse to slow down my friend's boat so when i got my boat i was used to the other controler and crashed it into the rocks. it still works though and i need to go back to the factory and buy even more propelers. i am on my 4th set now and i've had the boat for 2 months.
now that i look at it the flying fish has the same hull as my old boat but it has a different top!!!!!i can tell from the back where it has the propelers. like the same angle but top different. my old boat is this one right here[link=http://cgi.ebay.com/26-RC-Speed-Racing-Radio-Electric-Boat-Water-toys_W0QQitemZ6061210372QQcategoryZ2564QQrdZ1QQcmd ZViewItem]my old non working now throw away boat[/link]
and it has the same back of the hull. they are all made by a company called WSN, SYMA, and Hen Long. they all come out of the same factory.
hope this helped

My boss and I ordered that boat and I posted on here about it a few weeks ago. Jack***** sent same frequency so I returned mine. Then ordered a 41 catamaran by NQD it never came, got refunded then just broke down and shelled out the extra cash for a Traxxas villain EX.

He loves the "flying Fish". I drove it a bunch and it really is a blast for out of the box and first time drivers. First impressions driving it was damn this thing is big and it can handle any friggin wave that comes at it full throttle as long as you hit the wave head on. We have a huge lake here in GA and he hit at least a 2 foot wave, it went up got air, and came down flat. Very stable boat. No waddle like my EX probably due to the beam and side tubes. Its a wide deep hull. and those little tubes on the side really do add alot of stability, you can see them making a difference. Just dont hit anything though. He hit some rocks and took a small piece of the nose off and took out the props! We fixed that and he is good to go. Boat takes on minimal water even in rough water.

It is a great boat with a huge hull to mod, plenty of room! No floatation in the boat, however after playing with it, stock motors, there was no way to flip this thing. The vector thrust isnt so much fun. The boat is not as bad as some, but do to the size it gets bogged down. That would be the mod that has to be doen to really enjoy the size and stability. But very quick to accelerate once straight. His tracks straight as an arrow and I didn't notice any power defficiency in either engine to effect tracking. I do like the idea it came with a 12 volt battery. Charge time for it was about 4 hours full.

Transmitter is basic, three function. All power forward, left right. NOTHING else. I read your product description and this thing doesnt go backward at all. Full charge lasted about 15 min or so full throttle with the 12 v included NiCd.

I am sure you will like modifying it and checking it out. Hope this helps...

Thanks alot guys [sm=thumbup.gif]

I will also try the 12 cells instead of the stock 10cell battery.
I dont realy mind if the stock motors fry

It will first arrive here in a weeks time

Is there any other motor than my Speed 700 Neodym 9,6V that would perform better on 12 cells ?

Hi guys.

Have not got it yet....money has just been transferred, so it will take a little while yet

biawdiaw31 , hi
Your bout is the smaller version it seems. This one has 540 motors, and a 10 cell battery pack out of the box. I saw on E-bay that there where 2 sizes.

There is Two Series of NQD Boats..

Earlier Models got the 540 Sub Drive while the Series 2 Gets the Two Type 380's surface Drives

Some Hydro's got working rudders others didnt ...

I mean it seems like there is 2 Versions of All Boats.. You just never know which one you will get..

I mean I was bidding on a Series 1 and ended up with a series 2..

Fair warning as I have to check things out, that the pix above may be copyrited and may have to be removed. I've had issues with this problem in the past and have just went through JPR Trading's policies.
What I didn't like was this:

Automatic Information
Examples of the information we collect and analyze include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system, and platform; purchase history; the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through, and from our Web site, including date and time; cookie number; and products you viewed or searched for.

Kind of nosy aren't they?

No problem as long as the site doesn't mind. I have had problems with one US distributor of German boats kits complaining that the shots from his site weren't to be used here. It was kind of odd to me as he was getting free advertising.
The part that I quoted from that one site bothered me. I'm far from a computer geek (we don't have to be one to be a Mod in here, good thing!) but I didn't like the idea of what it said or how I took it to read, that they had a right to hack into my 'puter to gather information as to what sites that I've visited. Protection on this thing I've got plenty of yet just the thought of it bothered me.

Well, here it is.

First impressions are very good [sm=thumbup.gif]

The boat looks very nice, and the hardware seems good too. Im going to install a rudder, to loose the differentil thrust system. The stock 540 motors look alright too.
Lets see how they hold up.

So it Did Come with a Mixed Combo

Instead of a Type 540 with Rudder You Got Two Type 550's with Differential.. I smell a Hydro Type Mod Comming on...

So will you keep the Two 550's and Just Install a Rudder or Drop back to a Single Prop with Dual Motors and a Gearbox?

Have you run it yet?

My bosses is the exact one you have. After about 20 runs we noticed lots of black junk from the motors all over the inside of the hull. However other than that boat is pretty good. Motors hold up, takes forever to charge his battery, 10 cell with stock charger.

Hope you enjoy yours, thing is huge with plenty of modding room.

Not yet...still modding it.

I hope to take it for a spin tonight.

I had to make a new longer fin, as the one I had was too short........I dont realy know if the one I made is at an ideal size ?
I made it of 2 layers of printed cirkit board, and is very stiff.
