Let me get this right, you have a radio set and some form of air propulsion to power an air boat.
I guess that it is an electric motor of some sort ??
To help you here, you are going to have to give us a whole lot more information.
What do you have now ?
What do you want ?
Do you know what sort of hull you would like ?
Can you make / fabricate components ?
What is your RC experience?
I know this looks like some sort of interview and I make no apologies for that. The reason is that there are many different types of hull before we even get into sizes of them.
I have a number of different hull types and have worked from the bottom upwards on a budget.
I am very keen to offer advice and suggestions as are many of the other members here.
Give us more to work with.

I have crap loads of foam, i have these electrics and two motors from a rc yellow bee plane, 2ch so when you turn one motor goes faster than the other. These motors aren't very big, im just having a bit of fun, i want to go as fast as i can with wat i got. Whats the best hull to use?

Brendon, did you say that you used an airplane radio system in a boat?
I thought that wouldn't be good because it's air signal transmission.

Nah the signal is fine, i got given the plane in pieces from a friend, he was going to chuck it out but i stopped him, so im just messing around with it. Im just experimenting, i made the hull yesterday, ill post pics after school. I made a strip down the middle and put little weights down it so it sits in the water good. Now its the hard part, putting in the motors, i have no experience with this but ill make up something. Im thinking of buying 2 of these: [link=http://www.stanbridges.com/index.cfm/shop.p16793]here[/link]
will these work, ill just cut the motors off my electrics and solder these on.
Cya!

but it may be illegal. The FCC does not allow 72mHz radios to be used on surface models, nor can 75 mHz radios be used in planes.
Also brendon about those motors you mentioned. We're not sure if they'll work or not until we know what the specs are of each motor type. The ones that you said you would cut off and the one that you plan to buy. Do you plan to use those for an airplane prop(cuz this sounds like an airboat project that we're talkin about) or the water props that come with the motor?

Yeh, the whole reason im going to buy those two motors is because it comes with the shaft and the boat propellers. The motors i have look the same as those, there about 2.5cm long by 2cm wide, ill measure it when i get home, then ill ring the hobby shop and find out what size the motors are. One motor on my setup is a bit weaker than the other aswell so two new motors would be good. Iff there the same, ill buy them and put em in, how fast will it go with those two small motors? My airboat didnt go very fast as they werent very good props, hopefully these ones ( if i get them ) make it go faily fast.
EDIT: Oh i forgot to mention, the radio gear is 27mhz

It sounds like you are using a "vector push" setup where the speed of the motors is varied for steering instead of a rudder. It's a good thing you are using foam because 180 motors won't push much weight. The cheap radio gear you are using won"t take the amps of larger motors so you are stuck with what you have. The speed depends on the weight so build as light as possible![8D]
