Blackjack 26 BL
I bought the BL 26 BL and noticed how bouncy it was up front and was wondering how much weight to put up front, or what angle I should adjust the outdrive?

One more question. I drove my boat today and I noticed that it decided to do a back flip over a 2 or so inch wave at full tilt. Am I just going to fast or is it my setup? The boat is completely stock except for the spectrum radio and I'm running 4600 NI-MH batteries.

I have that boat, and I found that adding a bit of weight overall helps. It's a bit light for its power.

RE: Blackjack 26 BL
Ok so far I've received the rudders, Octura prop, hydra 240 and water cooled motor mount and this is what it looks like so far. Keeping in mind that only the rudders are actually installed properly.
The motor is just the stock motor for show until I pick up the 7xl, but this is basically the way the boat will be setup. The Hydra has had it's BEC removed so I can run my 4s setup without damage. The turn fins have been angled inward for better cornering. The stock water pick up has been removed for the purpose of looks but the entire drive system will be replaced with and OSE catamaran rudder-behind-prop system, as soon as it arrives. The batteries have been dropped down in the transom as low as possible and as far back as possible. The Shaft will need to be replaced as it has somehow become damaged. I believe that it was twisting in the wrong direction therefore the prop might need to be changed to a right hand prop. The dual water pickups will be split up to cool separate components. One will cool the motor and mount while the other will cool the Hydra. I will also place another outlet to the right side of the boat for symmetrical water exits.
The boat as it sits right now has it's cg at 6 inches from the rear. Here are some pictures for you to see how she looks so far. Again keep in mind that the boat is still under major construction and will not look dirty with messy wires hanging around it will look professional and clean.

I bet your CG will have to move forward.

Apache- seven.
In that last photo it appears to me that there is a bit too much angle on the strut. I believe it should be more level. This would cause the boat to flip if your CG was too far back & could most likely be the cause of the bouncing too.
For testing start with the strut angle level with the sponsons & the bottom of the drive dog level with the bottom of the sponsons at the transom.
If it seems to run wet raise the angle of the strut about 1/2 a degree & try again.
Cheers.
Paul.

RE: Blackjack 26 BL
I now have the setup finished but I need to know one more thing on this boat. I intend on making the CG moveable as every boat is different, but I'm looking for a starting point to place the CG at. Any thoughts? I've heard that around 6 to 7 inches is a good starting place but I'm looking for more insight and possibly video of those runs.
