I just bought A T-Rex 450SE V2 with the DX7. The only experience I have is with the Blade CX2 which comes RTF. Can you tell me how your DX7 is setup for the T-Rex? I am completely lost on the radio programming.

I've just changed to 325 blades and 11T pinion
What headspeed are you running in in Idle up? I tached mine at 2560This morning.
What flight times are you getting in Idle up.
Now:
450s CF frame
Align 3550 motor
11T pinion
325 Pro Tech woodies
Idle up headspeed tached at 2560RPM at 90,90,100%
DX6 radio gear ( that short RX antenna is a great thing)
Align alumnium sontrol linkages and washout base
HS 65HB Cyclic servos
Eflite G90Gyro
Futaba S3154 rudder sevo
DN power 2150Mah 15C batteries
Canopy paint for visibilty outside
Align carbon tail blades
Plasic Align tail case

I have a T-Rex 450SA setup with:
Align 325 Red blades (wood)
Futaba 6ex PCM radio
HS65-HB's on cyclic
Futaba 3107 on the Tail
Align 500x Gyro
Align 3350KV Motor
11T Pinion
Align 35A ESC
2x Thunder Power 2100MAh 3S 15C
2x Mega Power 2100MAh 3S 15C
Home brew LiPo Alarm (audible)
SE Aluminum Tail and Tail Supports
All Aluminum Swash Plate
This setup works well for me. I am not doing any 3D, just flying circuits. It's dead solid stable and handles and tracks perfect. The Motor and ESC are cool to the touch after running the battery from a full charge down to 10v and the LiPo is warm not hot.

As far as I know (I am often wrong) a JR RX will not work with a Futaba TX.

Tolla,
I believe I'm running about 2400 in governor mode (normal mode). I dont' run in idle-up mode yet! Throttle set to 0,90,90.

Sounds about right. I've got my normal throttle curve 0,90,90 as well.
I only fly in Idle-up. Normal mode feels too much like a fixed pitch heli to me, especially when throttling down from FFF into a hover.
Idle-up is much more stable.
With the DX6 My Idle-up throttle curve is set 90,90,100 and that I tached at 2580 at 90%.

Tolla,
Could you give me a rundown of your DX6 settings? Mine works ok (not perfect) but I am trying to fine tune the CCPM settings as well as some other stuff. It would be great to have a comparison to someone else running a DX6 with those hitec servo's.

Your setup looks almost identical to mine. Would you mind posting your DX6 settings as well? I'm trying to get an idea how people are setting up their DX6's with the T-Rex. Mine seems to be "not quite right" and I can't figure out why. Thanks!

Works great right now for normal flight - bird is rock solid - hovers fantastic and forward flight is great. I haven't tested 3D on it.
