HELP!!! I need a couple of ELECTRIC Spinners, 3.25 to 3.50" for my 73" Mosquito that I converted to electric. Well, I mean ones under $20.00 bucks each. I did find some carbone ones at like $44.00 each. NTY! Thanks, Ken

Why do they have to be electric spinners? Tower sells a lot of nice spinners in your price range for glow engines. Just enter "3" spinner" in the search window on Tower's(or any other hobby) website. I use these, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXEBE5&P=7

I recently put one of the above mentioned spinners on an OS 1.20 ax instead of spending $50 on a tru-turn. Ive gotta say, I like it. I have found my alternative to the higher priced spinners when I dont want to spend the $$$. Have one in white; and just ordered another in black. Should be in today hopefully.

Look for the plastic ones with alluminium backplate. I think Tower sells them.

Hey guys, I thought that the plastic spinners were to heavy for electric motors, is that NOT correct? Are you saying that you DID use those heavier spinners on electric motors? If yes, you did, then GREAT, I'll order some today. Many, many thanks. Ken

Too Heavy? No, they are ligher than all alluminium spinners. The alluminium backplate makes them much more stable and less liable to the distortion that can happen to the all plastic spinners. They are easy to fit. The cutout for the prop is thinner around the edges and easilly trimmed with a knife to fit the prop. I can't see any down side to these spinners.

Since this is for electric, rather than fuel, the spinners do not have to be as beefy (to stand up to the pulse). Should be able to fabricate some out of fiberglass. Blue foam forms glassed over, and emptied.

I have a O.S. 46LA. 2 times the propeller has came loose and flew off. Once giving me 8 stitches. Any thoughts?

Are you using wood props, if so the wood is probably compressing under the prop washer causing the nut to become loose.

What is meant here is that at each flying session before you fire your engine up check your prop. Wood props compress slightly when tightened. that sets it up to slip when the engine starts. Then it just works the nut off like really fast. Moral of the story. Tighten your prop nut each day you go out to fly.

Seems that my four strokes came with a castelated lock nut.
Alternative could be to find the right size "NYLOCK" nut. This is a nut with a dome shape on one side, filled with nylon. Problem may be that it is too long (tall) to fit the shaft properly.

I too would like to replace my plastic spinner with the aluminum backed one, but it sounds like the shaft hole for the motor is round. My spinner plate is round with two flat sides for the plate to lock onto the motor. How will that work/
